Best Bar-B-Q Ever. This Bar-B-Q restaurant is the best Bar-B-Q food I have ever had. Each item on the menu is as good as the next. You can count on great, fast service when you call in or pick up from here. The quality of the food is outstanding. The staff is extremely friendly, personable and helpful. If you are looking to take out you must order from here! The food is amazing!!!

BEST BBQ AND MAC & CHEESE EVER!!!!!!!!!. Best BBQ not only in Philly but that I have ever eaten!! The mac & cheese is by far my favorite. The sweet corn bread a close second. I have constant cravings for the mac & cheese : ). I am not sure what the reviewer right before me is talking about with service; I have always received friendly fast service every time I have been there and highly recomend Phoebes to anyone traveling to Philly! Also, I know both the owners personally and they are the exact opposite of digusting. They are both very hard working, kind people who have put a lot of time and pride in this restaurant, and it shows in their cleaniness, professionalism and attention to detail in all aspects of the restaurant, and best of all; it's THE BEST DAMN BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT SANITARY!!!! DIRTY!!!! RUDE!!!. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I used to work here. I had to leave because the owner is the rudest and most sexist employer you will ever meet. I have never worked at a place with such low sanitary practices. He also forced us to write fake positive reviews online. So if you read anything positive, be wary! In front of customers, they use plastic gloves. In the back, where everything is really prepared, they use bare hands which are rarely cleaned. THIS PLACE IS DIRTY!! THE OWNER IS DISGUSTING!!

If you can't smell the smoke, it is not good. My wife purchased Phoebe's BBQ and not only was the service attendent not friendly, the ribs were terrible. She over-bought the stuff and we ultimately threw it away because it could not be blended off into another meal. I personally do not recommend it. I have to admit that we are BBQ snobs. We are native Texans and SW foods have a way of being diffilcult to duplicate and I guarantee you that if Phoebe's was within 200 miles of TX, they would have to close the doors.

Tender Juicy Barbecue. On my BBQ quest to Philly I stopped at Phoebe's. WOW-WOW-WOW. Need I say more? I had the ribs , this was ?A Trip to Hog Heaven!? Pork Ribs, tender, cooked and seasoned just right. Beef Ribs, beefy and again cooked correctly. They serve Beef Brisket also, both beef and pork were just like the southern restaurants that I have visited. Beans, Slaw, these items were very good, but who has the room for them? I liked the sauce. You need to buy some for take out to eat later it is so good.

Finger Lickin Good. This is by far the best Bar B Q in Philly. The sauce is amazing and the meat falls right off the bones. I highly recommend it to anyone looking the great food. WOW@

Good Stuff. This reviewer before me makes me very angry. I have been going here for years and it is fantastic. It is reasonably priced, and the wings and pork ribs are good. The obviously homade Mac and Cheese, mashed potatoes, and corn bread (Not, Sweet and made with real corn) are good choices for sides. The only problem is that they are inconsistent, but never actually bad. The food is cooked right there on premesis in their smoker and it is good. The person before, obviously went on a bad day for them, or is a snob.

TERRIBLE. If you've ever actually eaten a rib, you would know that this is place is terrible. Even chain BBQ joints are better! No seasoning, the meat was overcooked and did not fall off the bone in a good way. The corn bread tasted like pure wheat grains, the mashed potatoes were soupy with what looked like water, and the beans were far from baked! This food was absolutely terrible, do not go or order from there!

Best BBQ in Philly. This is bar none the best BBQ in the city. Great service, prompt delivery, and above all great food. The owner is a great guy who welcomes you with a smile and treats all customers respectfully. I highly recommend Phoebe's Bar-B-Q to anyone who knows good BBQ, especially the pulled pork.

Fine Example of Southern Barbeque. Phoebe's Barbeque is the classic example of fine southern barbeque. The portions are huge, the staff is quick and friendly, and you usually need a to-go box! One of my favorite sides is the cornbread. Just like my Great Grandma used to make! This restaurant is also fine for pickup and delivery. A must-try!
