More Fat than Meat!. OMG fattiest ribs i ever had, more fat on those bones then edible meat! I oreded the beef ribs, i'm hoping the pork ribs will be better. Also cornbread was dry and tasteless!

But on a positive note the BBQ sauce it self was tasty and the baked beans and mashed potatoes were ok.

BBQ with fattitude!. My husband and I stumbled upon this place by finding a flyer on the floor in the street!! We are mad about BBQ food and having found nowhere better than Pig Daddy's we decided to give it a whirl and see if it could compare!

The take out was clean, the people seemed friendly enough however the food.....not so much!

We both had the pulled pork platter which comes with 2 sides and cornbread at $10 each.

The cornbread was burnt, the pulled pork was a small portion and fatty! The mash potatoe was salty and the coleslaw had no flavour! Certainly not value for money!

Maybe if we were totally wasted on beer it would have been better!! however not sure I could stomach fatty pork drunk or sober! Nice!

Great BBQ and Service!!. Reading some of the negative reviews - where do they come from?! I am not easy to please - but Phoebe's passes every test. Most important - the food is delicious and you get so much for the price. It's very clean. Spotless!! Honestly I have never - ever! - seen a take out restaurant that is as clean as Phoebe's. Service is fast and to the point. It's a get in and get out kind of atmosphere... They're not going to kiss your ass... and why should they? They show their appreciation by being consistent with quality and dependable with fast delivery. Plus, they actually remember you and take care of you when you go back for more.

Roxborough branch has really bad food. I had take out from the Roxborough Umbria Street branch of this restaurant and it was really awful. The beef and pork ribs were so fatty they were barely edible. What a waste of money.

Recession maybe?. Can i get a hello how are you doing and thanks for coming to our resturante how can we serve you, because with out you the customer we would be out of business. seriously, the entire store all toes guys can kiss my rear. I read the reviews online and begged to challenge them by being extra nice, but I got nothing. No hello, goodbye nothin, jus a freakin grunt and wrinkle of the lip.

oh and more importantly the food, pllllleeeaassee dont waste your time. the beef ribs covered with fat, and skinny like a 2 lb cow. it look almost as if they shaved off the meat and used it for their brisket. i order the half and half thankfully i had chicken to handle my appetite. unfortunately the breast was dry beyond belief. i made it through the meal thankfully with my bottle of sweet baby rays. their sauce overrated watered down brown sugared ketchup mixed with chicken grease.

i assure you im not being to harsh, im jus being honest, to those that like the finer foods, dont waste your time here, go home and watch the cooking channel and prepare a meal for yourself or jus go to the bigger chains. i swear this recession is making mom and pop store owners more rude and the quality of food continues to decrease. this is BULLcowpoo

100 wings must have. this place deserves 6 stars. If you like food you must eat here before you die. Super delicious tender juicy mouth watering everything you would want from BBQ. Me and my buddies order their 100 wings( BBQ) for $36 and crush them for any excuse we have to get them. The meat is tasty delicious and falls off the bone. Phoebe's will go in my book of all time places one must eat at and you can trust me because I Love Food!

Good food, rude service. I am so disappointed because I always loved Phoebe's food but the last couple times I called to order the guy who answered was not friendly at all. Even though their menu says they will deliver to any part of the city for $1, they won't deliver unless you have a big order. They also refused to take a credit card (even though the menu says they take credit cards) for a big order because it was too far away....South Street to South Philly. I think it may be under new ownership the past couple of years. They kept the recipes but boy did the service go down the drain. Customer satisfaction is not a concern. Rude.

Great BBQ. You wont be dissappointed when you order from this great take out BBQ restaurant. The food is consistant ly great and the service is on point. There is something for everyone on the menu! It is so affordable and much easier then cooking! You can get take out or delivery and have home cooked meal without the mess and time. I dont know what I would do without Phoebe's BBQ! Don't miss out, order from Phoebes!!!

it's great!!!. went ther last weekend and it was great! i couldn't believe how clean the place was and how fresh the meat and sides were as well. Im not a big fan of east coast bar-b-q, but these dudes do it right.

If you have never eaten here before, you should!. Phoebe's is the best thing that could have happened to Philadelphia! I live right down the street from

the restaurant and eat there at least twice a week! The food is amazing and there is not one thing on the menu that isn't to die for. Being from the South, I know what good BBQ is, and Phoebe's tops the list of the best BBQ in Philadelphia. The food is very authentic and reasonably priced. Everyone needs to try this place; you won't be dissapointed!
