We had an early dinner at Chaucer's and it was great - the restaurant was not too crowded. The interior was very nice, the service was good, and the food was excellent. The Stuffed Rittenhouse burger with Gorgonzola is a good selection to try when you have one too many shots of rum. One entree is more than enough to fill you up. -Al B. For

Chaucers WAS our favorite neighborhood bar...until they closed it down and replaced it with some stupid yuppie bar/restaurant. Chaucers had the best burgers and an awesome staff. Never had a bad experience there. It was a great place to go by yourself, with one other person, or even with a whole group of people!

I loved this place! Sadly - it is now closed. Went there last night and the door was locked and several neighborhood people walking by said it closed three weeks ago. R.I.P. Chaucer's.
