Editorial Review for The Bishop's Collar – by Elisa Ludwig
In Short
Bishop's has all the charm of a typical Irish pub. A dramatic maple bar at the entrance is offset by red walls and country farm tables that stretch back across the narrow room. It has become a favorite of a young but tempered set of pub-drinkers. There's a pick-up scene here, too, ut it's not overly aggressive. The menu of mostly pub fare is delivered inside the pages of a children's book.

Insider Tips
Where To SitOn warm days, seating spills out onto the sidewalk.
The ExtrasLive music acts occupy a small back-wall nook that passes for a stage, and the bookings vary from jazz to rock to folk, which, due to the size of the venue, tend to dominate the room.
When To GoTwo TVs are mounted above the bar for sporting spectators, and Sunday afternoon might well be the ideal time to visit for a lazy brew and the game.

The Collar is a cozy pub, mostly filled with regulars from the neighborhood, but also has great energy, especially during a game. Good beer, good food & good jukebox.
