Old player in Fairmount serves hearty eats in an equally hearty atmosphere.. In Short
Originally a New-Orleans-inspired establishment, the Rose Tattoo has retained the look of the French Quarter with copious wrought iron railings, lush plants, strands of white lights and deep-hued carpets and walls. There are plenty of appetizers, but save room for generously portioned entrees such as bleu cheese topped filet mignon or glazed salmon with asparagus.

Intriguing Decor, Fine Food, Excellent Service. My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here on a busy Saturday night. The bar and tables were all full but the barmaid and our waitress were both very friendly and efficient. We were seated on time and despite the crowd, the noise level was reasonable and we were easily able to converse. The wines by the bottle are a bit expensive, but there were good choices by the glass. We shared the cheddar-cauliflower soup and a pear and greens salad. They were both well-prepared and full of flavor. The entrees are large so my wife had a beef appetizer as her entree and really enjoyed it. I chose a sesame-encrusted fish special and it was also excellent. We split the fudge brownie dessert with our coffee. With three glasses of wine, the bill was under $!00 before tip. Excellent value and a fun time!

WOW!. If you're looking for a great meal, a date spot, a place to grab a drink...look no further! This is the spot for you. I don't even know where to begin so just look at the rating and then stop by the Rose for dinner.

Great Date Night. My boyfriend and I went this past weekend and had a very pleasant experience. The place was recommended to us by a friend who has been to a lot of Philadelphia restaurants. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very warm - a perfect place for a date.
