Westy's is getting a face lift !. Yes, my prayers have been answered. LOL, Ok so I am getting a little carried away however I stopped into Westy's (After boycotting the place because they were always out of food, beer and alcohol, I know, tough to run a bar with out those items. LOL) and a new group has taken over the bar and it appears to be getting a face lift ! The Bar was fully stocked, tap lines cleaned and looks like they had brought back in Yards, Sierra Nevada, Guiness, Blue Moon, Flying Fish and many more. Westy's has always had a great location and it should be interesting to watch what they new group does with the place, based on what I saw the the other day they are headed in the right direction.…

Me and a few friends were there and one of my buddy's politely told the owner that the beer he ordered didn't taste right and he thought they may have tapped the wrong beer to the line. The owner
very rudely mocked my buddy for pretending to be a beer connoisseur.
I tried the beer myself and my buddy was right, his lager tasted like some sort of pumpkin beer. No big deal except the guy acted like a buffoonish ingrate . I'd give it a -5 stars if I could. I'll never go there again.…
Totally redone and now second to none. i have been coming to westy's for the past 3 years(and it was a mess) and have to say that the new ownership that just took over less than 30 days ago have done an amazing job of making this now the best corner bar in phila hands down - HUGE with 2 pool tables darts, new tv's, bathrooms, live entertainment 4 nights a week, giveaways loud music, 20 beers on tap, new stools ceilings - AND THE BEST KARAOKE PLACE IN PHILA-the singers are incredible . Never any trouble and always open till 2…
Good place, not bad at all. This place is right near me. My friends and I found ourselves going more often there than elsewhere. They have Yuengling which is the beer/lager of choice for us. prices are ok. karaoke night is fun, even if you dont sing. you can take it as unofficial american idol judging. Overall, its a fun place to just hang out with friends without having to feel as if you have 2 inches of personal space in a bar.…
What a Great Place. I feel that Westy's is a great place to go to eat, enjoy a drink, talk with friends, especially after a rough day at work. I feel great that i work down the street from Westys and i can walk there after a rough or fun/exciting day. I have read the earlier review and i feel very opposite to the feelings of this person. I would question whether this person has an agenda against this restaurant. I feel that every person should check this place out for themselves, i frequent Westy's alot and i understand that they are under new ownership. If you want to have some great food, service, and atmosphere, please do not take my word for it but head down after work for yourself and YOU decide what you Believe of this bar/restaurant.
