Not Impressed. We were not overwhelmed. Lots of better places to spend your money.

Not Impressed. I was here in October with 2 friends. I guess we weren't as fashionable as the other "business professionals" at the bar and in the restaurant, and we weren't treated very kindly. We had the pumpkin soup, pulled pork, ribs, and buffalo. The food was just okay, nothing great about it at all. The wood work in there is so dusty, it was gross. The 2 tables to either side of us received the free cookies with their check and we got nothing. I guess it was pretty clear that they don't want people dressed in jeans in their restaurant. I would never go back there.

Not worth the money. Not worth the money. Went there with a coupon and thank god for that. We got the Pulled Pork for an appetizer which was not to bad. Our dinners were horrible. My wife got ribs which you can get better ones at any Fridays and I got Buffalo medallions which were just not worth $23. Also Soda come in little bottles which add up if you have more.

The food. The service was excellent and atmosphere was nice, but the food! I had Lamb or was surposed to be but the gristle under a nice sauce was uneatable. Others at our table had the rib steak that looked like it was in a fire except it was cold. The food needs a major improvement before I would return.

Jack's for BBQ ?????????. This is NO BBQ joint. He doesn't even put pepper in his chili. What kind of wrongheaded idea puts this yuppie watering hole in a BBQ category with Phoebe's.

GREAT. I have been to Jack's several times and each time has been more enjoyable than the last. Last time I ordered the chef special for 40pp. Best meal I ever had. We started with the pulled pork on garlic chip and award winning ribs. That was followed up with a shrimp and scallop dish and great salmon dish. For the main coarse we were given a lamb dish thats was excellent and a duck dish that was better than the lamb. The best part is dessert. We had 2 pieces Choc chip Pecan Pie(AWESOME). 2 pieces of "Peanut butter and Jelly" cheesecake(the best) 2 choclotate brownies and bread pudding. WOW It was alot of food but well well worth it. Great place, friendly service and best of all GREAT FOOD.

Jack Rocks!. Jack McDavid is one of the most personable people I have ever met and his terrific personality shows through in everything he prepares. The place has so much character (and how appropriate, because so does Jack!). The food is cooked to order, served hot and suberbly presented. The menu is unique with some very different offerings (we enjoyed a buffalo strip steak for dinner and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert). It was WONDERFUL! I can't say enough good about Jack's Firehouse!

a lot of fun - Philly Style!. The few times that I have eaten at Jack's were some of the best. The meals were great, service team does whatever is needed to make your stay a good one, and the old building is loaded with character.

Still Best in Philly. Brought a friend to Jack's in October and they knocked my socks off again. By far the best ribs around. The food is top-notch, the service tremendous and the bourbon selection at the bar is the best I've seen. Freshest catfish on earth. You haven't lived until you've tried the bread pudding. Jack's kicks A-S-S!!!

worstribs. Ate at Jacks one time- heard so much about the down home cookin. Ordered the rib sandwich- when it arived it was nothing but a bunch of badly charred gristle with a little bit of almost edible meat attached- maybge other people had better luck but for my money I will stick to Red Hot and Blue
