I've been to all the restaurants in Manayunk and have never been fully satisfied by any one of them. Everyone looks so flashy on Main Street but no one lives up to their image. Everything is too over priced, the food is mediocre and/or the service is poor. Terrace Street Bistro puts everyone to shame. Tucked away from the main drag, TSB is a cozy, intimate restaurant (seats about 20) with a romantic theme. The waitresses are fantastic and the food is superb. My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant one night when we were looking for something new. As soon as we walked in the door the waitress treated us (and everyone else for that matter) like VIPs. When they realized that they had run out of one ingredient for my entree, the waitress apologized and then the chef, Josh, came out and also apologized and said dessert was on him! I had the delectable smoked tomato bisque and succulent filet minon with blue cheese and Tarragon. My husband had the French onion soup and the Schnitzel (special of the night) both of which he cleared without a trace. To top it off we split a sinful chocolate creme brulee topped with raspberries for dessert. TSB is a BYOB with an all-around excellent French menu. Entrees are priced at $21-26 but it's worth every penny for such a great experience and amazing food. You won't be disappointed!!

Pros: Everything! It's romantic, inviting, and the food is excellent

Cons: Nothing

My Husband and i dine there at least once a week.. Josh The Chef/owner keeps the menu seasonal by changing it quarterly and it is always spectacular. He Serves a blend of fine french with contemporary contenental cuisine to lighten it up a bit. Always a well ballanced menu. Everyone should try it once. He even let us rent his bistro for my daughters graduation custom menu hand picked music and flowers wow what a show stopper that place is. We were just in this thursday and the place looks great decorated with thousands of x mass lights outside and pine roping inside you have got to see it to believe it. Absoulutly exudes old world holiday charm.

Pros: Reasonable pricing, great servers, Family Owned

Cons: large portions
