Went to Caselli's for the first time in 2 years. What a big let down. The food was not as good as it used to be. Water glasses were filled with warm water. We asked the bus boy for ice and after 3 times we finally got water with ice. Will never go back there again. It was a waste of time and money.

Dont' let the ouside of this place fool you. Wonderful food, atmosphere and very nice people. Never had a bad meal here. Also very reasonable.

CASSELLI'S. ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC. THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD. ATMOSPHERE IS VERY NICE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL YET. ALL DELICIOUS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. CAN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS PLACE. WE DRIVE OVER AN HOUR JUST TO EAT AT CASSELLI'S. TRY IT, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED,

Atmosphere, Service, and a Large Authentic Menu. We have been living in Roxborough for 3 years now, and have driven past Casselli's hundreds of times thinking "We really have to stop in there!"

We decided to give it a try with our in-laws and neighbors just recently. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations, and with six adults and a baby, we were a little worried about getting seats, but we got there at 6:00 and there was plenty of space.

The resturant itself is decorated beutifully, and there is a choice of sitting upstairs or on the main floor. We chose upstairs, which we were very happy about, and where we had plenty of room to spread out.

There were marinated vegetables on the table when we sat down (beware the peppers if you do not like spicy (even if you do!)), and we were quickly greeted by our waiters and our drink order taken. They have a full bar and a house wine that was very good. They have a great full menu and many delicious sounding specials. All entree's come with soup and salad.

We got our soup first, which was tasty, but not as hot as it should be. Next came the appetizers, and they were all excellent: Clams Casino, Calamri (not greasy and very tender), and a grilled vegetable platter with a very tasty dressing. Everything was delicious. The salads were then served, basic garden salad with regular choice of dressing. Finally, we got our main courses, and they were all very tasty. My Linguini and Clam Sauce (red) was good, not excellent, but good. Which wsa the generally opinion at the table.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. As I said the food was not excellent, but very good, and the atmosphere and service more than round out the meal. Beware the second floor if you plan on drinking (the stairway can be dangerous), but the first floor fills up quickly and the bar area can get crowded.

The food is good, the selection excellent, and the atmosphere is a plus. We would go back, and definitelty reccomend.
