WORST BRAZILIAN WAX EVER. I have been waxing for YEARS and NEVER, EVER have I experienced a wax like I recently did at L'etoile. The wax itself was ok--not too painful, but Katrina did have to go over certain spots more than two times--not experienced. Then she was all done...and I checked myself out and there was a huge patch of hair still there. Oops, she says, I must have missed that. How on earth can you miss a huge patch of hair? Isnt it your job to be thorough and make sure its done?

So I leave...only to have my hair growing back less than a week later. I WILL NOT GO BACK HERE .... AND RECOMMEND ANYONE LOOKING TO WAX, GO ELSEWHERE!!!…

horrible brazilian wax experience. I feel bad writing such a negative review, but I feel the need to warn others about my wax experience. I got a brazilian wax with Katrina. Not to give out TMI, but it's sort of necessary in this case! First of all, the wax job itself was bad...there were patches of hair and missed strays EVERYwhere. I could have asked her to go back and do more, but to be honest, I was in so much pain that I just wanted to get out of there. I have had this done before elsewhere and it was virtually painless, but I thought maybe I was just being a wimp. Nope, the next day I was severely BRUISED everywhere...a sure sign that something was done improperly. I was also told to get on my knees to finish the back part...something that is completely unprofessional and unheard of in other salons. A few weeks later, my friend (who gets a brazilian every month or so) went there and had the same awful experience. Consider yourself warned!…

AWESOME!!. Absolutely FABULOUS, purchased a spa day on living social, they were so fabulous from the moment I called for the appointment, they called me the week of to ask if I would mind a male masseuse, upon arrival they promptly greeted me, showed me to the spa are and then Shawn arrived for my massage, it was a full hour and wonderful, when I was done with that he turned me over to Katerenya for a facial and again OH MY fabulous!!, then she took me to the salon and did my toes, then turned me over to Ashley who gave me a deep conditioning treatment and a fabulous blow out, NEVER once did I feel like they thought "oh you're here for that deal, you didn't pay full price," it was top notch from beginning to end and worth ever penny of whatever they normally charge, when I got home my husband and daughter couldn't believe how great I looked, thanks L'etoile…

Ambiguous and Rude!. The experience started to decline before I even stepped inside the doors! I gave myself an hour to drive from work in center city to manayunk, however there was an accident on 76 and I was 15 minutes late. I called ahead of time to be polite and I recieved nothing but attitude from the receptionist.

Upon my arrival the lack of hospitality was quite apparent. The stylist did a great job, but she was very rushed. Normally this would not even bother me, but for obvious reasons I was not in the best of moods.

Lastly, I had a gift card for a free cut and color service. Apparently by color service they mean only all over color. Now go on their website, click on services, then go down to color and find highlights. Its under services-> color... but not a color service?

If you mean to say that it only includes a cut and all over color maybe you should mention that some time between the time I make the reservation and the appointment.

A receptionist has very few responsibilities, one of which is a smile. Instead the manager hires a diva. Either they are ok with this situation or the manager couldn't manage a bowl of 'flippin' jello. I'll go with the later.…
