The Scene – Independent music stores are an endangered species, but ones like Main Street Music give you faith that the best will weather the competition from chain stores and online suppliers. A handful of in-store listening stations let you preview new and noteworthy CDs, while the staff is more than happy to help you find what you're looking for. All the usual genres are well represented here, with prime real estate devoted to the local commercial-free radio favorites and an extensive collection of used CDs.
POOR SELECTION
by Ijkaksjhs
Never had anything I was looking for. Went to this store at least five times to buy specific albums, and they didn't have them. The guys that work there are not terribly helpful, and while they may know a lot about music, they play the "if you are not into what we are into you don't listen to good music" routine.
Music taste is subjective. These guys haven't figured that out. Don't waste your time. Buy from iTunes. The prices are the same.
GREATEST CD & VINYL STORE IN PA
by woodjablowme
Wow, what a refreshing place to shop for music. Nothing fancy, just good old fashion used CD's, Indie, etc. They now have vinyl for sale!!
Very knowledgable staff. Pat the owner has great taste and is the greatest Beatles authority around.
Spend the afternoon browsing the nice used section or picking the staffs brain for reviews on new releases.
PRICES ARE WAY CHEAPER THAN ANY CHAIN!!!

- Pros: selection, PRICES
- Cons: wish they had an online site
