Great atmosphere for a small bar/restaurant in Fishtown. You might wait awhile for your entree but the wait is worth it. Excellent appetizers and drinks while waiting for your home cooked meal. Extra large portions so bring your appetite. Great place to have a party but call ahead for reservations. We had a fun night out in Fishtown!

FABULOUS. The snitchels are amazing, and the grandmas house atmosphere ROX. Im now a regular. Its worth the long wait for freshly prepared food.

Mom & Pop's Cooking. You would never think that across the street from a pizza joint in Fishtown, a small, friendly, quiet, bar--named Jovan's Place, is excellent for it's food! With Mom & Pop's cooking, large portions-friendly service--excellent atmosphere--great prices--you can't go wrong! Try it and let your taste buds be the judge.

Extremely Good Food in an Unlikely Place. Located in Fishtown even before the neighborhood's current trendiness, this place offers great food, huge portions, moderate prices, and leisurely (friendly and slow-paced) service. Every item on the modest-sized menu is a winner. No Fishtowner should miss this place, and it's worth the trip for others.
