Best Pizza Ever. Have not lived in Philly for 15 years and I'm STILL craving a tomato pie from Charlie's. Best sauce anywhere!!!!

THE BEST PIZZA EEVVVERR!. I lived down the street from Charlie's for most of my life, and, even though I'ved moved away, I still go back -- regularly -- read WEEKLY -- for their super great pizza.

Even my tween daughter, who eats almost NOTHING, eats -- I mean EATS -- Carlie's Pizza.

My mom lived down the street from the shop first in our family -- I strongly suspect that when I was a kindergardener, she had my family move in (or back in) to the neighborhood just for this pizza.

Now that she and I live outside of Philly, she is the one that regularly tells me -- demands from me -- that it's time for Charlie's.

You have simply got to try this stuff -- you will not be sorry that you did.

Still the best. Great pies. Been going there since they had 2 stores (one on lower Rising Sun Ave. in Hunting Park area), about 50+ yrs. ago. My 6yo loves it. My 84+ mother loves it. My KY born wife loves it. A lost art.

need sauce recipe. help!!!! i now live in california i left philly

28 years ago and can still remember the taste of the pizza sauce--- does anyone know the recipe- i just love the stuff--- even something close may work---anyone ?

The Best Pizza I Ever Tasted. I have been eating at Charlie's for 37 years! My family continues the tradition of eating at Charlie's every chance we get. Although my family now lives over 100 miles away, we go out of our way to eat at Charlie's if we are even remotely close to the area when traveling. The staff remembers all the regular and old customers. Charlie's pizza is by far the best i have ever tasted.

GREAT AND WORTH THE TRIP. I'VE USED TO LIVE ACROSS THE STREET FROM HERE AND GREW UP ON IT AND LOVED IT AND STILL DO...I STILL GO INTO THE CITY FROM BUCKS VOUNTY FOR THIS PIZZA.....I AM TAKING MY CHILDREN THERE AND THEY ARE THE 5TH GENERATION TO EAT PIZZA THERE.....I WOULD RECOMEND THERE PIZZA TO ANYONE.....IT'S WORTH THE TRIP FROM ANYWHERE....WE EVEN HAVE FAMILY THAT COME BACK FROM OHIO, MICHIGAN, LA, AND FLORIDA FOR THIS PIZZA

GREAT. ask for the pizza well done and it will be fantastic...

a word of warning...the white spinich pie is very wet. all others are great!

Great sauce, not enough cheese. "Great sauce, not enough cheese" pretty much describes the pizza here. The sauce is probably the best I've ever had in Philly but Charlies does not put enough cheese on the pizza and the dough was certainly undercooked.

their thin crust made going to college in the city more delightful. Charlie's Pizza is best when you call ahead and order. This way when you get there you sit down and eat what you stomach has been yearning for all day!!!

You will not find a better pizza anywhere in the city of Philadelphia.. My family has been a customer of Charlie's since the 1960's. I was raised on their tomato pies. The taste is unmatched. The only problem is waiting a few minutes for it to cool off when reaching the table. The smell is so enticing it's worth the pain of a burnt mouth to enjoy their product. They are very friendly when picking up your pie and they know most of their customers by name. I am proud to be one of the faithful.
