Each TLA is staffed by knowledgeable young film fanatics who help maintain an exhaustive catalog. The shop's Web site rivals the Internet Movie Database for comprehensiveness, with absurdly specific genre categories like "Bolivia" and "Danny Elfman." TLA also has a huge gay and lesbian selection. In addition, TLA will gladly order out-of-stock titles, offers three-for-two and two-for-one rental specials as well as prepaid blocks of rentals.

Oldest trick in the book. This store has everything. It's literally the place where you could walk in, and not know the name of the movie, its cast, what it was about, where it was set, but that the boy had a red cap on, and this staff could tell you what movie you were thinking of. (Not that I recommend you do that!) Staff is knowledgeable, conversational, and very friendly. I highly recommend this chain to anyone seeking hard-to-find movies to rent or foreign/independent films.
