Editorial Review for The Melting Pot – by Cindy Locke

In Short
Booths equipped with tabletop fondue pots are clustered together inside the intimate dining room. Start with a cheese fondue, including an assortment of breads, veggies and fruits for dipping. Entrees include lobster, center-cut filet, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections served with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert, try the flaming turtle, a mix of chocolate and caramel flambéed tableside, served with nut-covered marshmallows, fresh fruit, pound cake, brownies and cheesecake.

The Melting P0t is great for a special occasion or just a fun night out. The service is excellent! The wait staff is funny, friendly and fast. Each of the four courses offers lots of fun and appetizing food choices. Eating fondue style is not only lots of fun, but also really delicious as well! Do not go to The Melting P0t and even think about skipping dessert!

Pros: fun style of eating, service, dessert

Cons: a bit pricy

I took my Mom to the MeltingPot last weekend in Chestnut Hill and it was outstanding! The experience was so cool, the servers cook some stuff for you at the table and then you cook your entree. The chocolate was unreal (try the cookies and cream marshmallow dream!!!) and the service was amazing!!! It was my Mom's birthday and they had a card waiting for her on the table which was so nice. Our server was so friendly and helpful with everything. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out!!!

Pros: service, food, neighborhood
