best stylist. I tried a new stylist last week and couldn't be more pleased. I have very difficult hair and no one has ever been able to figure out the best cut for me. I heard from a coworker that they were good. I guess my timing was right . Finally, some one that actually gets my hair problems. For the past week my hair has done exactly what it should and I love having good hair days everyday. I totally refer this Salon to anyone with trouble hair. It is nice to be able to trust someone with real experience and knowledge. A true professional.
Best all Around Salon. I recently visited Salon Letoile where I had a hair cut, low lights, and highlights. I have been visiting salons to have my hair done since I was 15 years old and I must say that I have never been treated with more courtesy and respect as I did the day I walked into that salon. My appointment was nearly on time and the reception staff was more than pleasent and ready to accomodate my every need. When I met with my stylist Mel , I was so impressed with his knowlege of hair fashion and appreciated so much the passion he had regarding his trade. I learned he has studied hair in Paris, Italy , and New York and I liked the fact that he was up to date with all the trends, products and then some. His staff was the same way. Very passionate and you could just tell that Mel , the salon owner instilled those passions in them. I was so nervous to get 4 inches taken off my hair and to try something different. I just had a baby and was feeling less than glamorous and I needed a change. Mel provided that for me. He listened to me and my needs and knew EXACTLY what I wanted. Needless to say, I am that glamorous new mom that was not disappointed .
Number 1. I had to respond to the last few reviews that commented on Letoile- i have been going there faithfully for years and have never had a problem and always love my cut and color (especially the color)....and i always get compliments and have referred several of my friends who have also fallen in love with them.
Best People Salon. I go to Salon L'etoile every week and they are the nicest people on this earth ! can not belief someone could write a review and call someone that work there obese, me being a little large myself, I am very upset that City search would allow people to write that. I know some of these reviews are fake because I go there and the staff is wonderful.
in response to "Rudest Management Ever 02/18/2008 Posted by MarshaFajge".
i was there the day that the cell phone incident had happend...you were extremely loud and no one wanted to know your business and with the things you were talking about one would think you wouldn't want anyone knowing that information either. and you failed to mention that your daughter slapped the client after she asked you (kindly) to move your conversation elsewhere and the manager and owner had ever right to remove you from their salon. how dare you put your hands on another person you should be ashamed of yourself and your daughter. great parenting skills mom.
letoile is a wonderful salon the staff and management bend over backwords. margie is an angel. i would never go anywhere else
Awsome. I been going to Salon L'Etoile since I met one of the stylist out one night and they offered to cut my hair. Well I have been going there ever since, if she can not cut my hair when I need it because she is so busy I go to three others that work there. they really, really are great at what they do. And thanks to the people at the front desk because they referred me to the other that cut my hair, Thanks for taking such great care of me and my friends.
Loved client. I want to thank Salon L'etoile ,well the people there really ,after going to salon L'Eoile and reading some of those reviews I really wonder why people are so mean and hurtful to others. If I ever had a problem there it was handled in the nicest way by all. People that work there are some of the finest in the Phila. area. Maybe we should really take a look at ourselfs
RUDE Receptionists & Varying Prices. I called ahead of time to ask the price of a brazillian bikini wax and the receptionist said starting at 35 (after putting me on hold) in a rude tone so one would assume that an easy quick wax would be $35. The wax was fine and the waxer was personable but she then charged me 50 and said that I had barely any hair so she charged me LESS than usual. I mentioned that the receptionist said 35 and she said they are usually 75 or 80 and that a regular wax is 35. The website clearly says $35 for a brazillian. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. The waxer (Zola) asked her why she said 35 and she even snapped at Zola. The owner should be ashamed for hiring such a snippy and rude receptionist. It must be nice to charge whatever you feel like depending on the day. Pricing needs to be worked out with the staff so there is a consistent charge. Clearly they have problems with their customer service. I should have listened to these reviews.
Horrible customer service!. I called to schedule a trial for my wedding and they put up stink because my maid of honor and my mom also wanted trials (which are full price, so why do they care?). Then when we show up, the stylist thought we were just getting up-dos for that night - she had no idea we were there for bridal trials and the confusion wasn't figured out until halfway into my hairstyle when she asked me, so how are you wearing your hair for your wedding? Then when I confusingly told her that is what she was doing - my trial - she was angry and bitchy because the appointments weren't for the right amount of time, and she doesn't do trials on Sunday, and she didn't know ahead of time, and she couldn't understand why my mom and maid of honor wanted trials. She made comments about how we should have come with a better idea of what we wanted (she's the stylist - heaven forbid I would want some advice)! and was snippy with my friend because her hair is short ("Normally, people who are in weddings grow their hair out"). She wouldn't really help us with ideas or recommendations - all she said was "it's whatever you want." She was very rude to my mom because my mom really didn't know what she wanted and was looking for help. After all that, she ended up doing a great job and we were happy with the styles (and her attitude finally improved), but when I called later to finalize my wedding day appts, the scheduler wouldn't schedule me because she was too busy that day. What hair salon is too busy to make an appointment? She was also very snotty and rude to me and asked me to call back on Monday. The woman is only there during my working hours and it is very difficult for me to get a minute to even call the damn place and when I finally get to, SHE is too busy to take my appointment when that's her freaking job??? You've got to be kidding me. I was very happy with the hair styles, but this place is truly aggravating and I will be going elsewhere that will treat me with respect.
One of the best salons around. If you want the best haircut you ever had then Salon L 'Etoile is the place to get it. Thay have the best staff that helps in every way thay can
