The Place is ALWAYS EMPTY. I am not crazy about the interior renovations. I liked the old style look. The old style was woodsy, darker, more intimate; the new style has the look of a clapboard "McMansion." The food is good, however, and the staff is very friendly. My question is: Why aren't the people coming to the Venture? They come to the bar to hang out, but the dining room is always empty when I go to eat with friends. We went a week before Christmas on na Thursday night, and we were the ONLY ones eating. Incredible. Ten years ago--five years ago--on a Thursday night the dining room would be packed. It was so crowded you had to put your name to a list in order to be seated, and you had to wait at the bar. Now it is a little creepy eating in a deserted dining room. Something is WRONG. Why aren't the people coming??????

So much better than before. This place has improved a ton. Its a great casual hangout at the bar or a nice place to have a get together in this neighborhood. Since around the fall of 08 theyve had a new chef and the food and menu have improved a lot so I'm glad they are going in a better direction. Stocked bar, friendly people, and sandwiches and bar food now!. Id expect people to start coming back here because I know they lost a lot of customers before when it was not so great. People should give this place another try.

What happened??. Used to go here as much as twice a week when I lived in Philly.....Went on this Saturday night and there were ten............ten people in the place at 830. Somebody scredwed up the decor, over painitng the walls and ceilings in vanilla colors, and hanging metal frames with mirrors on the walls, nevermind that the elaborate banquettes already have mirrors in them. The food was blah, the energy gone. Amazing what a new owner can do for a restaurant. Id like to tell him my opinion, the website for the restaurant says "please email us with comments" but allows no link to email to. Depressing.

The renovation stanitized the place; the new menu is LIMITED. Where are all the people? We went there on a Friday

night at & PM when the place used to be packed to

the gills. Not any more! Where are all the people?

The menu is very limited--not enough chicken

dishes, no diversity, no sandwiches. The new

menus is MINIMALIST to the extreme. What a

shame. Food is still good but there are NOT

enough menu CHOICES.

User review by djkoch. This is a nice place to go for a filling meal and a few drinks. It's continuous with the bar but who cares - you can get drinks!

Best Deal in Town. Venture Inn - a great place to eat at the right price. Sleek, romantic atmosphere, although the bar area can become noisy at times. Friendly, fun service - the waiters are a riot!
