Not recommended. The decoration was not bad but the food was a lot lower than average. We ordered the glass noodle soup for two people and the portion was very small for 10 dollars they charged. The soup tasted too much MSG and we didn't drink the broth at all. Portions for other dishes were also very small. Also they charged 6 dollars for a bottle of beer. With 50 dollars for the bill, we could have had a lot nicer dinner somewhere else.
The Worst Service! No Noodles!.
This was my first time visiting Siam Cuisine. The service was terrible and the food was OK at best. I ordered the drunken noodles and there were almost no noodles in the dish. What the hell! When I politely told them about this issue they told me that "the noodles are cut up." They did not give me any more noodles and they acted as if I was crazy for expecting noodles in a noodle dish! The portions were small too! The waiter was inattentive and there were no other people in the restaurant! He seemed as if we were bothering him when we requested basic things like more water!
So what do you get at Siam? Overpriced small portions with bad service. STAY AWAY! There are so many other places in Chinatown with great food, great portions, and outstanding service. Avoid this place at all costs!
Tasty but spare, good customer service. Food was tasty but portions were small, very small, even rice which is cheap. The atmosphere was ok but not extraordinary. Good customer service.
Siam I am.. I came into this restaurant at 3 P on a Sunday with my daughter exhausted after doing the PHS Fllower Show. It was pouring rain. She was fasting for Lent and I am a careful dieter. We both were hungry. The food was perfect. For a first course, I had green mussels with vegatables and a light sauce and she had a salad. Then we shared a very tastey asparagus and shrimp with a light curry sauce. We were pleased. The food was NOT over salted, it was fresh and tastey and not at all fatty or greasy. The young waitress was listless. We never got cloth napkins until I asked for a second paper napkin and she grabbed a napkin for me off another table. My daughter's salad plate wasnt taken away so she could continue with the second course. The cost was $46.
dissapointed diner. Contrary to the previous review. This place sucks. The service is horrible. The ambience is nonexistent. And the overpriced portions are miniscule! They even skimp on the rice! I got more food from lunch specials than this!
