We went to the because we heard the Pancakes were the best,. They are average at best. The service was good and the reading terminal is a fun place, lots of interesting things. I would recommend the place highly, but not the pancakes if you are looking for the best. In fairness, we only tried the pancakes, the french toast looked good, but we didn't try. The best pancakes in Philly are found at LeBus in Manyunk or Morning glory at 10th & Fitzwater.

This is a large lunch and breakfast counter in the Reading Terminal Market. It is by far the best place to eat here among the dozens in the market. Eveyrthing is fresh from Lancaster County and cooked to order quickly and reasonably priced. Seasonal specials. I recomend the open faced roast turkey and mashed potatoes. Stools are a little tight together, but you're not spending the day. Best thing is that the cooks and servers are the nicest folks you'll ever want to meet.

This is one of my favorite places in Reading Terminal Market. The hot apple dumplings are to die for! They are the most mouthwatering succulent desserts I have ever tasted. Ask to have your's served piping hot with whipped cream. I promise you will not be dissapointed. Open from Wed through Sat although they close early on Wednesday's. Large lunch menu with gigantic sandwiches and down home Amish cooking. Great place to bring a tourist friend for lunch or breakfast. Don't be discouraged by the usually long lines. Service is very fast and if the seats are not available at the counter, head to the back of the market where you will usually find a table.
