In Short – On a shady corner of 13th and Pine exists a quiet example of quintessentially modern American coffeehouse. With its mismatched chairs and bistro tables, high tin ceilings, unframed paintings and amiably grungy workers, the Last Drop typifies what cafe connoisseurs come to expect from an "alternative" hangout. Cappuccino and other frothy beverages are made with New Harmony and La Colombe beans and come in Starbucks-size au lait mugs or hefty pint glasses (for the iced versions). Fresh Samantha juices are for sale, as are bagels, Bundt cakes and breakfast breads.

Nice place to hang

I was a regular visitor for a long time, and then for a while I went away as a result of unfavorable conditions for a while. I returned to give the place a second chance and have become a regular again. Most all of the staff is friendly and accomodating, they make a decent cup of coffee, and it's a great place to hang and use the interent, especially when laying over in the city for a long time. It's nice because it is only about 2 blocks away from the subway, but it is 12 blocks from the main line of South Street and about 8 blocks away from Reading Terminal Market. They lack a substantial menu for food, so not a place to go for a real meal and distant from most pplaces where you can get a meal, but nice for coffee.
