In Short – In a small open kitchen, whole fish and slices of pita share a grill. Service is genuine, friendly and fast. Earthy souvlaki comes on lightly grilled pita bread or stuck alongside peppers and onions on skewers. Order a side of minty rice-stuffed grape leaves or flaky and tangy spanakopita--and don't miss Effie's home-style fries. For dessert, couple cardamom-infused Greek coffee with honey-drenched baklava.
Roaches EVERYWHERE!!!
by Diningout
I actually had a roach land on my head and another land on my arm. When we looked around, there were roaches all over the courtyard. One was crawling up a man's leg and many were crawling into the kitchen. it was grotesque!!!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Roaches

My Sister-In-Law and I ate here on a Friday night and the food was delicious! I was visiting from Tennessee and we had such great service. Our Waiter, Andre was the best! We had an appetizer sampler, greek salad with gyro meat and a lamb sirloin steak with potatoes and fennel. YUM!
- Pros: Great service
- Cons: Small
Just Lovely

Had a wonderful meal with my wife here recently. It was a Saturday night, somewhat late, but still very busy. We were seated inside which was hot and boring, but were shortly moved to an outside table. The food is very good, very straight greek. No flourishes but delicious, with substantial portions. The service, in opposition to some of the reviews here, was wonderful. Very friendly and casual- but attentive. We were never rushed- even when we were the last to leave. A great neighborhood place- I just wish it was in my neighborhood!
- Pros: Service, setting, food
- Cons: Inside could use a makeover
