In Short
Because of its location (since 1981) in the center of the always-bustling Reading Terminal Market, everything at Basic Four is wrapped tightly for diners to eat at nearby tables, or for takeout to offices or home. Everything is made in-house, with th exception of the vegetarian corned-beef and bologna. Tuna (made out of carrots), top-shelf veggie burgers (with soy mayo on Lancaster County wheat rolls) and faux-meat hoagies are treats for veggies and non-veggies alike.

Amazing!!!. Great meat reproductions. The chicken salad is awesome. The whole wheat rolls are a big tasteless, but everything else is magnificient. Try the iced tea with honey sweetner. Unlike a lot of vegetarian food places, this place makes an artform out of its sandwiches. So tasty.
