In Short
Long known as a haven by vegetarians, this Chinatown restaurant has been serving kosher and vegan delights with amazing consistency since 1994. The narrow little space is serene and simple with pictures of pandas and storks on the walls, silk flowers and cantaloupe-colored linens on the tables. The expansive menu features dim sum, soups, imitation pork, chicken, seafood and beef entrees, plus vegetable dishes and fried rice.

The only thing i've ever ordered is the Dim Sum, and it is always great. This place is perfect if you just want to get together with a few friends, and eat delicious, inexpensive vegan Chinese food. The decor could use a makeover, but after you taste the food, you won't mind.

I was in Philadelphia for some work very recently, and before going I decided to find a great vegetarian place to try. After stumbling on this location online, I was very excited to give it a go. I actually didnt get to eat here til about 2 hrs before I left the city to return to Charlotte, NC but wish I had gotten here sooner. I would have gone everyday! The food was simply amazing. A small place that could be easily missed if you arent looking, but it delightfully surprises once you start ordering! The menu is actually overwhelming as you want to try just about anything. They have a $12 Dim Sum where they keep bringing you select dishes (all you can eat) but unfortunately it requires 2 people minimum. I ordered the fried duck and ham fried rice and also an order of spring rolls. Everything here is vegetarian and mock meat, which was a dream come true. Even the rice is served w/o eggs! The veggie rolls were a little on the greasy side, but the duck and rice were simply superb. Veggies in the rice included onions, zucchini, and slivered carrots while the duck was served with an amazing brown sauce that had black beans and garlic in it. Why cant we get places like this in my city :(
Pros: great prices, non-stop menu, variety for anyone
Cons: greasy spring rolls, and it is not in my city!
