In Short – With over 400,000 objects, the African American Museum consists of four galleries used for exhibitions and presentations. The museum's Fine Arts section includes prints, paintings, and a glorious tapestry entitled "Captivity and Renaissance" by Romare Bearden, a Harlem renaissance artist who studied in Paris and reinterpreted ancient myths and rituals in his work.
