Disrespectful and Rude!. I had the worst experience at the salon. I waited for a long time for the esthetician and I finally left. The owner Terri is extremely rude and made up a story as to why I the esthetician was late and the receptionist Tara had an attitude when I called and complained.

Great Stylist. Thank you Lauren for such a great style, and you are incredible with that blow dryer. No one has ever gotten my extremely curly hair to look so relaxed with natural body...

Great Salon. I've only had great, friendly service at Strands so I am super surprised by any negative comments about the staff there. Terri does my waxing and she is quick and professional. Ever have that problem where the stylist gives you a great cut but you hate the way he/she blows it out after? Not here. Vince is the only person I'll go to for a blow dry and style that I know will look GREAT that day. He pays attention to the details. Everyone is very friendly when I walk in and everyone looks great--a sign that they care about their appearance and their client's appearance.

Wedding Day Perfection. For anyone who is looking for a salon to get their hair/makeup/nails/wax...they do it all...Strands is the best salon in the city. They made my wedding day so special by providing everything from champagne to bagels. Lauren and Vince made my dream hair style better than I could have even imagined. My bridesmaids left looking so gorgeous from the staff of people dedicated to my wedding party. Tara's make-up expertise are exquisite. Everyone left feeling like a Goddess. If you are looking for perfection on your wedding day...you should definitely go to Strands.

best nail & haircut. While in olde city for meetings i stumbled across this chic salon, I entered in i got a good vibe, with a hour to kill til my next appointment. A stunning women approached me and asked if she could help me, I told her what a beautiful salon. Is it possible for a haircut and a manicure she intoduced me to a stylist named vince so what the hell i sat down, never in my life did i receive such a great cut, the shampoo girl almost put me asleep with the massage. then i asked for my nails to be done the stunning women i found out later is the owner did my nails as vince cut my hair i was in heaven

Strands diamond in the rough. The atmosphere is great as well as everyone being very friendly and helpful. I was able to pinch into Jimmy's schedule and thank god he he was there that first day. With a vague idea of what i wanted myself and no knowledge of any terms I tried to express what i wanted. Jimmy is a miracle worker to have deciphered what i was saying but he hit the nail on the head. That was over a year ago now and Jimmy is still my only choice for a stylish cut in Philly

Phillies Best Hair Stylist Jimmy. Strands is a Great place in a Great Location Always action going on. Jimmy was Great when I went to get my Hair done at Strands He introduced me to everyone and I instantly felt like part of there Family You will always feel Welcome no Matter Who Greats You But if you Love to Laugh Jimmy your Man Thanks Jim your the BEST HOLLY

not pleased. i really wished i had read all the reviews on here before going to strands which is close to my apartment. i thought the service was rude and unprofessional. my hair cut and color were not what i asked for - i even brought pictures and was very specific. i don't want to mention the hair dresser b/c maybe they had an off day, but my biggest disappointment was the overall feel of the salon, snobbish without anyone being young, thin or gorgeous enough to even be a snob, lol! i sat with a wet head for about 10 minutes before getting blow dried...i would have left it hadn't been freezing out! good luck in your search, but trust me, avoid this place unless you are a glutton for punishment!

vince IS a genius!. i found strands through city search and took a leap of faith based on the reviews...and boy am i glad! vince was awesome and everyone there was so nice. i will definitely be back.
