This was a GREAT experience, I see why its Best in Philly!.
My therapists was Rachel. She was so polite, very warm, calming and compassionate about her role. She really did a great job and I truly appreciate it. I?ve been to 3000BC in Chestnut Hill as well as other places but his was a much better experience. From the time I called to make the appointment (the receiver can make or break a deal based upon their tone and willingness to meet the customer's needs) to the time I arrived (on time...), the lounge area, the scent and lighting throughout the place, etc...It was just so very nice and I enjoyed myself. I recommend this place to everyone; Kudos?!

Another Holy WOW!.
This place is the bomb!
I spent the afternoon with some friends from out of town here, and they couldn't believe what a gem I'd found! We all had packages, and THE best massages and facials we'd ever had!
Seriously, if you are looking for great services in a warm and healing, calming environment from people who are friendly, knowledgeable and really good at what they do, look no further! I won't go any place else.
If you've been here, you already know this. But if you haven't, what are you waiting for? It's pretty affordable, too!
Was not completely satisfied. I received a gift certificate for their services, and decided to take take advantage of their facial, and full body swedish massage. When I arrived, I thought the decor was very relaxing. I was on time for my appointment, but was waiting for at least 20mins. I hung around the refreshment bar..which was pretty cool. My facial was not good at all. Ive had facials from several place before and, I always fall asleep..this time I was very annoyed:( it didnt seem like the therapist was too skillful. My massage was ok, as I have had better. I would give them another try..just because maybe the facial therapist was either new, or having a bad day?
love this place!.
I got my boyfriend a gift certificate for Christmas in '09. I purchased enough for him to get a facial and massage. After the holidays he enrolled in a year long program and decided to put off the spa day until it was completed. Needless to say by the time he was finished with his course he was in dire need of a spa day. Fortunately, their gift certificates do not expire.
We ended up making it a couple thing & went together. He had a Thai Yoga Massage and I had a Body Detox Wrap. The masseuse was so friendly and professional. A facial is part of this package. My skin is far from nice and at the end of our session she asked if she could make a few suggestions. She was completely polite and actually resourceful. My boyfriend could not be happier with his massage and it definitely helped to work out the tension he was carrying around.
The staff at the front desk was so nice! I believe we were talking with the owner as we were cashing out -- he was, also, so friendly. At no time were any products pushed on either of us. In fact the masseuse suggested I use a combo of proative and cetaphyl -- neither, of which, do they carry.
I am planning my next trip now.
P.S.: parking is surprisingly not too hard to find around here.
Thai- atsu Massage. Ok so i tried their new special, Thai-atsu. It's a combination of Thai yoga and shiatsu. Only one therapist is doing it, His name is Kevin. At first i was a bit nervous about having a male work on me, but let me tell you how i fast i forget about that. We went into his room, there was a futon mat on the floor, he asked me to sit in the middle (your fully clothed the whole time.. sweats and a shirt) of the mat and than he explained the massage to me. The pressure was perfect, the stretching was awesome (remind you that I've never did yoga or anything like it). I felt like a million bucks afterwards. This massage is perfect for those who want to try something new. The only thing that gets in the way is that the special is only good on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but here is the best part IT'S ONLY $60 BUCKS!!!! Can't wait to go back :)
wonderful all around experience. i was on leave from iraq and wanted a nice treat for myself. this place was it! with a calm atmosphere, and genial staff that welcomes you. i wish i wrote this after, but i was back off to iraq 2 days later and went through that whole I got to remember to do something things and am now getting to it. eitherway, i loved my experience. the esthetician and masseuse made me relaxed, and left me feeling refreshed. They even sent me off with some beauty products for my face; face wash, spray lotion, etc; that btw i loved.... Thanks for the wonderful experience.
heaven in old city.
I'll get right down to the nuts and bolts. I found this old city spa an oasis amongst the Philly cityscape to be a welcome stop.
As I entered, I was instantly overcome by a sense of calm. I was greeted courteously and professionally.
The experience was charming, invigorating and best of all, tranquil.
Wonderful experience head to toe. an array of services by highly skilled practitioners that renew body & soul. treatments here are one of the best things I do for my well-being.
This place rocks!. I just wanted to post something for anyone looking for a great spa. I found this place on citysearch and I'd like to "return the favor" if I can. This place is awesome! I was late from work and they were totally able to accomodate me. Man, was I stressed out. As soon as I walked in I knew it was special here--the unique aromas, the friendly smiles and warm greetings from everyone. They even offered to make me a cup of herbal tea to "take the edge off." I felt like I was in someone's cozy living room. My therapist was so super and worked all the spots I'd mentioned were a problem. When I left I swear it was the first time I didn't have a headache in like 3 weeks! A friend of mine got a facial and a body wrap as a gift and said they were just as wonderful as the massages, so I think next time my boss makes me work a 60-hour week I’m going to book one of those along with another massage. Sounds like heaven to me!
