A beautiful collection of homeware, gifts, and more.. Scarlet Alley is an amazing store which offers high quality and well-curated items-anything from homeware, bridal registry to delightful children's toys, jewelry, and bamboo lingerie. I live in the neighborhood and have purchased many items over the years. The staff and both owners have always been very attentive and great with suggestions for the 'perfect' gift. The store is truly a jewel box. I just had to post because the last review seemed very odd and not a true reflection of this little Old City gem. I wish we had more unique stores like this around.

Old City's original one-stop shop for ingenious gift givers.. In Short
Think of shop owner Liz Scarlett as a best friend/personal shopping guide. She'll offer her customers a cup of herbal tea, show off what she's got and gently steer them toward the perfect gift. Items of note are silver sheen of Nambe lamps, earthy necklaces with insect pendants, hip orange toolboxes, wall clocks that moo instead of cuckoo, aromatic modern bath products, rare tea sets and the coveted shelving units made by her woodworker father.
