Ristorante Panorama features contemporary authentic Italian cuisine with influence that leans toward the Northern Italian region and features homemade pastas, authentic veal dishes, and fresh seafood specialties. The restaurant is located on the lobby level of the Penn's View Hotel in Old City Philadelphia. The central focus is on the unique wine bar, with its custom-built, 120-bottle wine keeper. In Short – Warm terra-cotta tones, stained-glass windows and a full wall mural give the feel of an Italian villa. Penn's View Inn guests and scene-seeking oneophiles pack the three large dining rooms and wine bar where a custom-made cruvinet system serves 150 wines by the glass. The food menu is smaller than the wine list, featuring grilled romaine salad, lobster and ricotta tortelloni and beef braciola, thin fillets wrapped around vegetables and cheese..
Outstanding Wine List
by jaybmore
I had an enjoyable experience at Ristorante Panorama. It was my first visit there and the first thing that struck me was all the awards for the restaurant's wine list. After I was seated and received the list, I understood why. The list was huge but our server diligently walked me and my companion through it. We settled on one of the flights of wine, which allowed us to taste five different wines. The meal was also very good and I was impressed that the restaurant opened its entire menu for a restaurant week function. Usually during a restaurant week dining experience, you're confined to a limited selection. I would return to Ristorante Panorama.
- Pros: Excellent Wine List
The wine alone are worth the trip!

Yes they have great Italian food, but the wine selection here has to be the best in the city. By the bottle & by the glass the choices are immense. This is the place for wine lovers.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!
by ryloso
We went for lunch. After waiting for 15 minutes for our waitress to come over we were rudely given the menus. There we only 2 other tables besides ours.
I ordered a dish that did not come as ordered. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she told me there was nothing she could do and to " deal with it".
I was appalled to say the least. For these prices I expect top notch service.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
You are better off going to Dave and Busters down the street. At least there you will get better service.
- Pros: Nice atmosphere
- Cons: BAD SERVICE!!!
