The Best Bartenders in the World. Blarney has great specials, one for every night of the week. The staff is friendly and hilarious. It a great place to hang out every night of the week. If you tip well, they will ring the bell.

Not a dive anymore. This place has undergone some major renovations. It's a fun Irish/sports bar with a cool atmosphere. I'd pass up the more lame and predictable other University City spots any day for Blarney. It gets a late crowd and a lot of college kids, but the drink specials are incredible all of the time.

A University City Irish dive with sports, Guinness and karaoke.. In Short
It's a dive tucked in the middle of University City. Patrons consist of students sucking down beers, playing Quizo and watching sports as if there's no class tomorrow. The decor is Irish here and there, with "My Goodness, My Guinness" signs and shamrocks, but Blarney isn't the sort of bar that attracts crowds with atmosphere, and it's practically empty during Penn breaks. There's Guinness on tap and a standard selection of domestic beers.

local hole in the wall. yeah, it's a college bar, so it's not usually crowded til late. the place looks great after renovations. the bartenders can be jerks if they don't know you. it's a great local bar for students. really cheap prices every night.
