My friends and I have been loyal customers of La Terrasse for the past 8 years and we usually get burgers there. A lot of times we'll get one that's undercooked from what we ordered, but we've never felt strongly enough to complain about it before. But this past time, I received a burger that was too underdone for me to eat (still mooing) so I initially asked them to just cook it a little more and bring it back. Instead, after a couple back and forths, they ended up giving me one even bloodier burger and one really rubbery, odd tasting burger that looked cooked on the inside but didn't have any char on the outside, so I asked to cancel my order. When we received the bill, I saw I was being charged for the burger so I told the server that I felt I shouldn't have to pay since I didn't receive what I had asked for. At that point, the manager came over and rather than being apologetic about me not being able to eat, she was quite confrontational and angry that I had cost them 3 meals worth of food. I really was taken aback by this because she was accusing me as if it was my fault the burgers were not cooked properly. The manager also insisted that burgers are supposed to be rubbery when they are well done, which I found hard to believe since I've eaten literally hundreds of burgers in my life, many of them at La Terrasse, and I've never encountered a burger like that one except when I've reheated one in the microwave. Not to mention the fact that I hadn't ordered a well done burger in the first place. This was the first time I had ever felt that the food was so inedible that I had to send it back and it was also the first time I'd ever spoken to the manager, who was a woman with long blond hair who didn't give me her name. After this experience where I was treated so rudely, I'm not sure if I can ever go back to La Terrasse or recommend this place to anyone if they treat their customers like this. Very disappointing.

The menu at this place is updated seasonally. They also serve your traditional favorites as well. The atmosphere is somwhat Romantic but also fun. They have a nice beer selection if your a sampler of beers. well worth a visit. Foods a little pricey but then again its more for a sophisticated crowd.
