great simple chinese food.
I went there with a friend for lunch and I loved it. Close to Penn campus. The food is simple traditional chinese-american and of mostly high quality.
What I liked best about it though was the staff. Very nice, patient and helpful. They have a TV on the side tuned on to the news and a great, yet simple and low-down, ambiance. you just FEEL comfortable eating there. It isn't trying to "show off"
A great place for a casual lunch with friend(s).

Excellent chinese food in a casual setting. I don't understand why this restaurant is rated so low. We lived in Center City for for two years and always went to Won for dinner whenever we wanted to eat chinese. Even after moving the suburbs, we still love this place because it is better than all the chinese restaurants on the main line except maybe Margaret Kuo's. It offers excellent food, prompt service and very reasonable prices in a clean (though not fancy) ambience. The shrimp entrees and the foo young are especially great. strongly recommended.
