Tips for New Delhi Indian Restaurant

selective delivery within their "delivery radius of .5 miles". I heard this place has great food. They probably do. However, I will never taste it on principle. If your delivery radius is 1/2 mile, it should be 1/2 mile. This place will not deliver to you within the radius if they don't want to. They canceled our order.

Awesome awesome awesome food. We had our lunch at tandoor and were pretty satisfied the for dinner we tried new Delhi. Oh God !!!The food here was simply awesome, with right proportion of spices. If you are fond of very HOT(teekha) food skip it.But if you truly understasnd the aroma of spices, this is a must go place.

Buffet offered great variety of vegetarian dishes also. Naans were fresh and evenly stuffed. I just loved the punjabi dahi curry. Before entering In the restaurant I was thinking to get one as parcel, but after tasting the food I got two packs for me and that tells the story.

kheer was also delicious(felt nostalgic)

Only thing I dint like was attitude of these guys. But then I dont care as far as I am getting true value for my money:)

Hip Decore ensures excellence at all levels. My wife, my son and new born went to New Delhi again last evening, but this time to introduce our little girl to one of our family traditions: New Delhi. To our surprise the place was transformed to a new age eatery with superb hipdecore, that definitely takes New Delhi to a different level. Ofcourse the buffet is still excellent as always, and the service is great as always. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. We have gotten to know Mr. Sharma who has become our little boy's buddy.

My family and I highly recommend this place to everyone, especially to the ones who have not tried indian before. This restaurant serves as a great introduction to delicious dishes including many vegetarian delights such as Samosas. My favorite has got to be the lamb over a bed of basmati rice.

Best Indian Buffet in the City, hands down. Of all of the Indian places in the city, this one is the best in my opinion (although my Hindi friend who went with me there says if you are a fan of authenticity skip it, as it is overly-flavored and Americanized...but I really do like the food!). Order from the buffet (incredible selection) rather than individual dishes. Nan is always refilled at the buffet promptly (and is sure to disappear promptly). Tikka masala, samosas and saag paneer are yum. If you are a Penn student on a budget and want Indian food go HERE, skip Tandoor India (food there is mediocre at best and might just make you sick).

Lazy and Rude Customer Service. I love Indian food and tend to pretty picky on authentic Indian food. The food at New Dehli is at best average. The only good thing about this place is the location. It is convenient to Drexel and UPenn. The food is bland and often served cold in their buffet setting. The service is HORRIBLE. My date and I waited 40 minutes for a table when the place was near empty. The customer service was slow and poor. I thought the take out method might prove better but after placing an order I went to pick up my order and I was told that it was never entered into the system. For a restaurant with average food, I was hoping for better customer service but in general New Delhi fell short in ever capacity.

Didn't get the lunch buffet.. We went at lunch time. We ordered an appetizer platter, poori and paneer bread. New Delhi actually has a menu, and offers a variety of breads and desserts. Check out the website.

The food was good, and comparable to that of Tandoor and Sitar. However, our waiter rarely checked on us and I had to initiate the dessert I ordered, and ask for the check after some time..
