Lunch offers reasonably priced dishes from fettuccine to chicken yellow, flavored with curry. For dinner appetizers, Thai noodle or chicken sate can't be beat. Each one offers the popular peanut flavor often fund in Thai dishes.

Nan is a wonderful restaurant, a French-Asian mix without the excesses of fusion cuisine. It's a BYO that has been delivering for over a decade now, and pretty much whatever you try on the menu will be carefully prepared and delicious. The service is friendly and competent, and the owner, Flo, makes it all run smoothly, and when something doesn't feel right to you, she'll fix it. Just go.

Nan's owner/chef, Kamol Phutlek, got his start in Philadelphia at the late great Frog. His food was outstanding then and it still is. Now, Kamol is located in University City. Nan is a storefront restaurant which specializes in French/Thai fusion. The service is excellent and there's a byo policy, always a plus in my book.

My wife and I love this place! The staff is friendly & attentive and the food is unbelievable. The pad thai is probably the best in the city (certainly the best I've ever tasted), and the crab cakes are sensational. Everything else is also very, very good. The atmosphere is a cross between elegant and casual,. Since it's so close to U of Penn and Drexel, some patrons are dressed casual - but you wouldn't feel out of place more dressed up.
