You have to climb quite a few steps to get to the sanctuary, but once you are there, you will be glad you came. You have a chance to worship in an animated way, and once they know you, to participate. They have an open pulpit, which is highly unusual, but actually rather Biblical. Different people can share prophecies, scriptures, testimoneies, and exhortations. Some worship is in Spanish, so brush up on yours for an optimal experience. The teaching times can be quite engaging. As different ministers preacher different weeks, the level of polish differs markedly. This church really does try to put its money where its mouth is, and obviously cares for the poor and disenfranchised.
Pros: Worship, authenticity, parking arrangements eliminate the typical Center City hassle
