Philopatrian Literary Society, Stotesbury Mansion

Editorial Review for Philopatrian Literary Society, Stotesbury Mansion – by Rachel Rogala

In Short
The former townhouse of Edward T. Stotesbury is the last of the Rittenhouse Square mansions. Crystal Louis XV period chandeliers, a Dolly Madison fireplace purchased from the White House in 1890, Corinthian columns and a fourteenth century Italian marble fireplace create an ideal atmosphere for a formal event. Upstairs houses a large sitting area, as well as a room with a pool table for partygoers wishing to escape the party (or to start one of their own).
