If there is a place in Philly where I have consistently witnessed and seen great short hair cuts, Oggi might be it. My first time to Oggi was years ago when I decided to crop my hair short -- I literally took a photo from a magazine, booked an appointment (Cynthia) and came out with a cut that was exactly what I wanted (... and I do not have easy hair to cut/style). Kudos to Oggi for helping me maintain my short style, and now I have many friends and colleagues who love Oggi -- they all have short hair. I stopped going to Oggi, however, when I decided to grow out my cut. I found their technique and approach to longer styles unremarkable, especially for my hair type (fine, thin) and decided that the $60 was better spent elsewhere.

Ah, Salon Oggi... I go because I follow colorist Andrea Rothschild wherever she goes. I give her FIVE STARS. We've covered the color spectrum together - reds, blondes, chestnuts - some times all at the same time. Her work is magnificent.

Waxing is not for the faint of heart, Call Oggi and make an appointment with Debbie. She's a highly skilled professional, as well as a vibrant, fun person, and she will make your brows (or, you know, wherever) look perfect. Oggi accepts cards, but you can only yip in cash so make sure you have some so you can thank Debbie for taking such good care of you.

My appointment with Cynthia was so much fun. She is such a cool girl and knew the red I wanted. Since I was feeling bold with the color, I opted to cut my hair short. Considering I hadn't had my hair above my shoulders since I was 15, it was definitely a daring move. I was surprised at first of the length (or lack thereof), but after a few days and a lot of compliments, I ended up being thrilled I made the decision. The red itself was perfect...beyond perfect. Sure my trip to Oggi was pricier than my normal salon, but the quality is so evident.

I went brave and went with bangs, Cynthia let me know she does complimentary bang trims to help her clients who've made the 'hide the forehead' jump! A++ for that!

Mark at Oggi is the absolute best! He has been cutting my hair since for over 5 years and I love it every time. I have very naturally curly hair that is not the pretty kind, it sort of has a mind of its own. But Mark has always given me a cut that lets me wear it curly or blow it out for a more professional look at the office. And this last visit he gave me bangs! I never thought I could wear bangs, but as he explained "there is a bang for everyone, you just have to find yours". Love it and Love Mark!!!

Once again I am super lazy with my hair and this is one of the areas where I know little to nothing. Cynthia was patient and discussed what I was looking for until we both agree on color and how much. Literally, I came in just going "I want purple hair!" and after establishing whether or not it was going to be all or highlights we chatted about color tones and then she worked her magic mixing an awesome color that made me grin from ear to ear! It is purple but not so cartoon-y that I would have issues at work. I have gotten nothing but compliments even from random strangers on the street! She has a great sense of humor and will make you comfortable in seconds. I really cannot recommend her enough.

Gift. It was my sisters birth day and I want her to get a good birthday gift. I thought and all I could think of is how much I missed her because all she did was work and work and more work, she barely has time for herself but soon she would be getting work vacations. I had a great idea of getting her a stone therapy message to help her relax her body from all the work and stress she goes through. I went with her to get that message of hers and the people there are the nicest people my sister and I have ever met. So passionate on what they do. She even came out happier and refresh by how she looked and said she felt. I’m glad it worked out for us she will forever love me (giggles) just kidding. I do recommend them if you are looking to have a great treatment or to give a gift to someone you love.
