Philadelphia Klazmer-Eiseman Interiors. We really enjoyed the great service offered by Captiva Design. Captiva Design recommended various paint colors for our newly renovated kitchen & living room walls.
Jon Christopher.
My friends think I am crazy to go into the city from the burbs to get my hair done, not to mention spending what some consider an obscene amount of money on my hair. So, why do I do this? I do this because as shallow as it sounds a great cut and color can transform you, as my last cut and color with Jon Christopher did for me. I almost feel as attractive as a movie star and considering that I'm pretty, but average, and middle age says alot. Not only have I gotten compliments on my hair but just general you look great compliments! Jon is an expert colorist. He gives a great cut and can also create different styles of cuts. (I have know even good stylist who only really know one cut and just vary it a little on everyone) And if you finish your hair with a defusser or curling iron he will have you looking awsome! Lastly, be patient when you go to a new stylist, sometimes it take a little while for all the communication to get just right but Wow, is it worth it.

Chris Harrison!.
Chris has been doing my hair for about a year and I'm always so excited to go see him. Aside from his awesome personality, the hair cut and color NEVER disappoint. He is so thorough. He is meticulous about every detail of the style, and he stays with me the whole time-he puts the foils in and does the blow dry himself. He doesn't have the assistants do those parts because he knows how important they are, and that I'm paying to have HIM do my hair.
I've found my guy and I won't let anyone else touch my hair. Love chris!
Fantastic!. I first heard about this salon from a friend about a year ago. For some reason, after hearing about them, I still stuck with my old salon and stylist for another year before finally trying G&P. WOW - was I missing out!! Looking back on a whole year+ of mediocre hair cuts, I am really annoyed that I didn't try them sooner. Judy was FANTASTIC! Not only did she give me a great cut, but we now have a 'plan' to get my hair to the exact style that I want, since my previous stylist left a few sections too short to achieve what I really want. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair and I have NEVER loved it so much. And the best part? The price was LESS than what I was paying at the old place. I just recommended Judy to another friend in Philly, and she loves her cut too. I now live about an hour away, but I still go back to Judy at G&P for my hair. Try it! You won't be disappointed!!
Next to impossible. I am 46 years old and my hair was always problematic and wavy. In the past few years it became very brittle and frizzy like cotton candy (ugh and the grays!) I recently lucked out with a last minute appointment with Lauren. She and Josh worked like crazy on my hair. She did a keratin treatment to correct the texture. I had been waiting for someone to DO SOMETHING. I gave her little instruction, and she doesnt know me. So she did what she thought was best. I didnt walk out with a glitzy salon style. What I do have is MY HAIR, like it was when I was 19 years old. It looks LONGER, and it is youthful, shiny, and smooth. Who would even dream of asking for such a thing? One would think it couldnt be done. You cannot even tell it is dyed or styled. It just looks very natural, and young. I am enjoying not being a slave to the elements. I could walk into a sauna and my hair would stay smooth. The salon was funky and charming and everyone was very welcoming. I enjoyed myself.
Amazing. I've been going to Jody for about 8 months now, and feel incredibly lucky. He has a wonderful feel for hair, listens and gives good advice. He can basically intuit what is needed to make anyone look wonderful. I've only gone to him for hair cuts, as I don't color my hair-- but he's truly magical. Moreover, he's no more expensive than the other two people I went to in Philly before I was lucky enough to find him. Frankly, G & P charges what seems to be the standard rate in the city-- or at least the standard non cheap chain rate. It's always easy to get an appointment and the process is quick and painless (I've never been kept waiting for more than 2 minutes).
Chris Harrison. I have been going to Chris for almost a year now. Besides giving great haircuts and color, he has the best personality! Its always fun and I have never left his chair disappointed. HIL
Cold Reception.
I very much enjoyed by cut and color with Jenny - who is new to Giovanni & Pileggi. The assistant Alfonso was also extremely nice. However - it's hard to get over the cold reception that I received when I first walked into the salon. They basically ignored me while talking to each other, did not ask if I wanted anything to drink and did not ask me to have a seat. Later, when I went to pay, the receptionist was on the phone having a conversation with a friend and made me wait for several minutes to finish her call.
I liked my cut but I don't really want to deal with reception again.
Post Script: The salon read my comment and apologized for the reception that I received. They also offered a free service as part of their apology. Due to this improvement in customer service I will be going back and hopefully will have a different experience.
