Bryce.
All the other blondes out there may understand the struggles I went through until I found BRYCE. I have been highlighting my hair since age 15 and have had more hair stylists then you can imagine. I have experienced it all (the chunky highlights, the awful brassy highlights that do not look natural, the roots that show up too early because the highlights were not done close enough) at all the so called “best salons” in Atlanta, NYC, Philadelphia….Then I met BRYCE and my constant anxiety surrounding my hair appointments was a distant memory. Basically, Bryce UNDERSTANDS BLONDE HAIR. He takes the time to listen to what I want, but also has excellent professional expertise to give me suggestions on what will look the best and when its time to switch it up, go brighter, add some lowlights. He makes people believe that I am actually still a natural blonde and I am constantly being complemented on my hair. I really wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair.
It was absolutely no question that I would follow Bryce from Toppers to Thunder, but it was just an added bonus that everyone at Thunder is really friendly and awesome and the salon has a great relaxing atmosphere. So, if you are a blonde out there or anyone in need of some highlights definitely go see Bryce and you will be very happy!. (Just don’t steal my appointment…)
Serendipity!!!. I moved to Philadelphia a few months ago, and was still looking for my permanent, trusted hairstylist here. That search is now over: a series of comical and fateful events led me to Bryce at Thunder Salon, from whom I just received the most amazing blond highlights and haircut of my life. Bryce read me like a book - somehow he knew what I wanted better than I did. My whole experience at Thunder was perfect. The salon itself is sleek and clean, modern but not over-the-top. The entire staff is friendly and down-to-earth. There is no sense of competition and pretense, like you often experience in other salons - the stylists compliment each others' skilled work and are chatty without being gossipy. Bryce was so much fun to work with that I was disappointed when my hair was done and had to leave (although I was anything BUT disappointed with my new look - AMAZING!) Bryce, I will be back again and again and again - I am so thrilled to have found you!!!
Welcome Bryce!.
Recently, I went to Thunder for a haircut from their newest stylist, Bryce. I followed Bryce from across the street at Topper’s Spa, where he has been cutting my hair for the past year-and-a-half. He fits in quite well with his new surroundings and my first experience at Thunder was warm and welcoming.
I am a child of the 70s and for the longest time, I attempted to hold onto longer, shaggy locks. Bryce encouraged me to enter the 21st century by moving me toward the shorter, more contemporary cut that I have today. I have received countless compliments since I started going to Bryce and I’m thrilled that he worked with me to create a new look that was a hit among friends and family.
In addition to his skill with clippers and scissors, he is an adept conversationalist with an affable personality. It’s always fun to spend a half hour in the chair with Bryce. Thunder, with its larger-than-life movie icon photos, is the perfect setting.
Best Stylist Ever!!!. I have to say, I've chosen Thurnder because my favorite stylist ever - BRYCE - chose this salon to work with. I've been with Bryce for over a year now and can't imagine what I did before him. He's an excellent stylist and colorist, which is important since I'm notorious for changing the color of my highlights each month. Bryce has managed to find the balance between listening to me and my needs and wants, while sharing his own professional experience to ensure that my cut and color complement me 100%! He actually started at a different salon which will remain unnamed (but is located directly across from Thunder) and when he left, there was no question that I was going to follow him. I get compliments on my hair and color all the time...and its all because Bryce does an amazing job! He makes the cut and color process fun and exciting!!!
MICHAEL.
I love Thunder Hair Salon . Located on 19 th Street in Philly Michael does my hair and from day one he has been perfect. His coloring ( highlites, lo lites, touch ups) are so natural and beautiful. He cuts hair with such style and precision it's amazing. I have never had a cut that is so easy to do and look great everydayt. Bravo . Thanks to the great staff, Maria, Nicolette , Lucia and everyone.
So glad to have been recommened to Thunder.
LOUIS. Louis is the best! Louis has been doing my color for years. I have referred many friends to him and they have all been thrilled with the results. Recently, he gave me the best haircut! I continue to get compliments from everyone. A good cut does make a huge difference!
Outstanding Color and Cut. Michael is a master with color. Every week someone asks me where I get my hair done because they love the color, and so do I. I drive almost 2 hours to get to this salon and Michael's skilled hands. I wear my hair chin length and in layers so a perfect cut is crucial. Michael spends at least 30 min. just on my cut. Even on a windy day, just a little fluff with my fingers, sends every hair back in place. He's the best!!
There is only one (#1) Michael!. There is no-one to compare with Michael, the ultimate, skilled professional, he is a master at shaping difficult hair. I haven’t let anyone else touch my hair for more decades than he and I would care to count. Even when I travelled away from the city for some length of time; I just let it grow, I just couldn’t trust anyone else! The care he takes is extraordinary. Thank goodness he doesn’t know what a “rush” job is: he will fuss until he is satisfied that the work is done to his own satisfaction. I can’t recall the last time I stated a preference for a style but if he has an idea for a change, he asks. Have I ever said no? I haven’t, no need to, he knows what suits me. And, without fail, after each cut I am asked by colleagues and strangers, Who did your hair? A compliment to me and to him!
Stephen or Louis?. Hi, has anyone gone to both Stephen and Louis, and can recommend one of them to fix a messed up SJ color job. My hair looks frosted like from the 80's - helpppppp!!!
