Best Service in Philadelphia, Period..
I had my wedding this past Saturday at the Ritz Carlton. My wife Wendy and I had such an amazing day thanks to the Ritz Carlton and the wonderful staff, I just had to spend a few moments to express my gratitude and mention a few special people who really stood out.
Staci Gussis was the very first person we met at the Ritz Carlton. I remember walking into our initial meeting being frustrated and burned out by looking at other venues in Philadelphia. Staci greeted us with a warm smile and instantly disarmed me from my bad mood. She was so attentive and encouraging, we made up our mind to go with the Ritz Carlton within the first 10 minutes. She stopped by our wedding several times on Saturday to make sure we were ok.
Susan was our event coordinator, from our very first meeting with Susan, she treated us like we were her only clients. She was always so thoughtful and patient with all of our questions. Everything we envisioned Susan made happen, she delivered on every aspect and was mindful of the smallest details. Susan exemplifies the Ritz Carlton brand in everything she does. I have 100% trust in Susan and she is the first person I will call for future events or parties. At the end of the evening, my photographer who has been doing wedding for almost 20 years said he’s never seen wedding go so smoothly. Wendy and I could not be happier thanks to Susan. Susan was constantly making herself available for anything on Saturday, but more importantly over the past year.
Brenda also made herself available throughout the evening and whenever we were on the property, she reminded me that the staff was here to make our day special and to let her know if we needed anything at all. Although I have not had the pleasure to work with Brenda as much as Susan, Brenda was always attentive and engaging.
Jerry was our Banquet Captain and executed the evening with flawless precision. He engaged our guests with charisma and completely answered every question; making everyone feel important and special. Jerry’s service is crisp and sharp, exactly what you expect and hope for from the Banquet Captain on your special day.
Robert was our head waiter. Wendy told me during the course of the evening she felt like the President and Robert was her Secret Service detail. Robert serves all his guest in a caring, gracious and humble manner, but he really went above and beyond to make my Bride feel extra special. All of our guests commented on Robert’s excellent service.
Hubert was our waiter and was focused on providing great service to all our guests.
Our bartender Ramzi did a fantastic job. He was professional, friendly and charming, his service and personality truly added to a wonderful night.
Chef Patrick and Chef Laura stopped by at the end of the evening to make sure all the food was what we expected, which were really appreciated. All of our guests, ourselves included, thought the food was 5 stars.
I’m not sure this falls under Meeting and Events, but Eddie from the Spa is top notch! Eddie has been helping Wendy with the correct color and style for her hair over the past few months. Eddie did her hair for Saturday and made her feel like the most important person in the world. I didn’t think Wendy could be any more beautiful, but Eddie worked magic.
Once again, Wendy and I just want to say thank you to everyone at the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia for a perfect and memorable wedding day.
Great hotel BUT... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!
not as ritzy as i expected. when I stayed at the ritz in philly, i was expecting fire works. I had always dreamed about staying at a ritz, so i had high expectations. however, i was deeply disapointed by what i got: a tiny room with threadbare and ratty carpeting, a small fuzzy TV, starchy bed sheets, and negligent service. The restaurant downstairs was okay, albeit the overly greasy food. on the whole, the thing needs some updating.... and a new chef.
Just what the doctor ordered.
What a relaxing weekend we all had in Philadelphia. First this great hotel pampered us with its ambiance, then our trip to Heaven Spa was glorious, and to top it off a fabulous meal at The Palm.
A high-end chain that pampers guests with exceptional luxuries in a prime Center City location..
Visitors are inevitably stunned by the architectural splendor found inside and out of this hotel. This landmark property showcases massive columns, rich woods, gorgeous marble and chandeliers in vast, dynamic spaces. Luxuriously ornate rooms and suites dominate the 30-story tower with feather bedding, Internet access and professional massage therapists available upon request. A rotunda adjoining the tower houses two exceptional restaurants: the Paris Bar and Grill and the Pantheon that transform into lounges at night.
Ritz not as ritzy as expected. I was disappointed in my first Ritz Carlton stay. When I reserved a deluxe room I expected so much more from a hotel that is supposed to epitomize luxury. The carpeting was threadbare and stained in spots and the oversized (by hotel standards) room had just one small upholstered chair to sit on, yet there was room for a small sofa or even two chairs so my fellow guest could sit as well. I do give kudos to the bathroom though...very nice. For the money though, there are any number of mid-range hotels whose rooms are just as nice and maintained better.
not on par with other Ritz hotels. This is just an ok Hotel. I have stayed at several Ritz properties and this is far below their standard. I'm not sure why but I would not suggest this for fellow travelers.
They call this a Ritz??.
I have stayed at several Ritz Carlton hotels and have been delighted, the Ritz in Philadelphia, however, seems more like a 2 star hotel.
The "Superior" room we booked was cramped and had no character. The marble bath was the only saving grace. Two of the lamps did not work and the alarm went off at 6:00 in the morning. There were no city guides, or even a listing of hotel services in the room. Had the room had a spa menu, I would booked a massage, but there was no information available.
I had to stand at the Concerige desk for 10 minutes while he finished a personal call to get a map. The next day, when it was pouring rain, the hotel had no umbrellas to lend me, and acted as if it was an out-of-the-ordinary request. Not what I expected at the Ritz.
Best classy bar in the city. My wife and I favorite bar after a romantic and expensive dinner!!! Nice drinks, excelent service, you feel like a kind, you must try the mini burgers and the fruit plate.
Luxury Hotel??!?!. The worst! Awful service! Gym looks like a YMCA rec room with old, outdated equipment. One night, I saw a staff member taking a nap on an equipment in the dark! Frightening. It was always about 90 degrees in there, and you can't work out for long before feeling like fainting. They turned off the hot water one morning without telling us. Shower is weak with no water pressure. There's only one electrical outlet in the entire room?! How do I iron my clothes? My vent must have shared the same vent as the kitchen because I woke up every morning with the most nauseating smell of bacon and onions wafting through my room. They also lost one of my packages. Tracking said it was delivered to and signed by the hotel, but I got nothing. Another package, they found hiding in the bellman's closet. This hotel is terrible!
