BAD PLACE AND ILL TELL YOU Y
by Ferry8423 at Citysearch
i have had it with this BS place. at one time it was a great place to go and i enjoyed going. even knowing that i am paying more then what its worth i liked to support the local business. but after the last couple of times going in there no F##KING way. the wonder land i knew and loved is gone. its just a trinket shop at best now. but the thing that set me off was that the girl working on NOV 25 2011 at 12:00 flagged me from the store because she heard my friend who i ran into at the store say KIEF and would not let me buy anything at the store. BUT THATS NOT ALL i understand that the heat from cops and all that BS with the law is something that they have to protect themselves from but when the dumb low life girl YES DUMB can say to me "sorry i know you guys come in here all the time and buy stuff but today i cant sell you what you want" so she knows we are regulars and by regulars i mean i don't go online and have only gone to there store LOYALLY for a long time. NOW THATS BS i hope the owner reads this because i just want you to know you lost a good costumer and a good word of mouth rep that i at one time dish out. i also always payed in cash. and will now be adverting your business by letting people know what to expect and how i was treated
never, ever, go there.

**I HAD TO RATE THIS WITH ONE STAR, BECAUSE I COULDNT POST THE REVIEW WITHOUT RATING IT, AND THERES NO OPTION FOR NEGATIVE RATINGS.
Dont ever, ever shop there. They are pretentious, PC hippie jerk offs who like to act like they're yer buddy so you'll pay 2-3x the price you should be paying for the piece you are going to get. They are sleazy, sexually inappropriate, poor business owners with absolutely no compassion for human life except their own pathetic 'circle' within 'the world of wonderland'.
I know that the people that have 'careers' here read these things because y'all are so stuck with your heads up your butts you cant help but gossip about what people post online about your lame ass store, and laugh, but you know it hurts when you get a bad review and maybe this one will actually prevent you from sleeping at night, if you have any sembalance of a soul. You guys know who I am, and I want to thank you for screwing me over, and to those are reading this and DONT know who I am - -Would you want to support a business who fired a 22 year old chick because she was diagnosed with lymphoma?
If so, be my guest, dump your money in their tight asses. If not, tell all your friends to find another head shop (Artifax in NE Philly or Frolic in Oaklyn, NJ) because all of my friends and family will NEVER step foot in that piece of garbage, wannabe 'free spirit' tight ass PC hippie store again.
- Pros: they fired me cause i got diagnosed w/cancer
- Cons: they fired me and now i have cancer and no job
Good place, crappy people

I would like to think of myself as a pretty easy goin guy who can get along with most people and handle just about any situation. I read all the reviews and thought I would still check the place out myself and judge afterwards. Yes the prices are high but the selection is top notch. Yes you can get things cheaper on the internet, but who knows what your gonna get and you cant talk to the computer if you have questions so I dont mind the upcharge. If you do, then dont complain about it, just get it somewhere else. As far as the staff though...wow. I read about the rasta hippie wannabe and I gotta tell ya, not that bad. Very helpful and good natured. There was a big kid with glasses that was really funny and singing Bruce Springsteen with lots of conviction. Told me that they were the best band in the world and preceded to play air guitar, air sax, and a mean air drum. Good for you big fella. Now to my major complaints. There was an old man who i figured to be one of the bosses. Not the guy with the white hair but the guy with "do-it yourself" haircut and pedophile mustache. He might be the biggest D!CK Ive ever met which is suprising because he works in a head shop. You could tell all the employees hated him cause the whole mood of the sotre changed as soon as he came downstairs from what i assume to be an office. First he complained that the kid with glasses was TOO happy and preceeded to berate him about NOTHING. He was so in the wrong in fact that I wanted to stick up for the guy. Then he bitched about the kid with dreds (who i later found out was a guy named Will) You could tell that this a$$hole was the type of guy who hates his life so he takes it out on others. I would be bummed out if i was fifty+ and had no friends and Id be willin to bet my life that he hasnt been gettin any lovin in yrs. Anyway, this guy was such a bad person it would honestly make me think about never going back (if it wasnt the only place in the city) I know people only write reviews when they DONT have a good expierence but I did have a good one. MY only problem was this asshoole of a guy. I dont know how anyone could work with this guy but god bless them for trying. In closing pretty cool and funny staff (much props to Will and the Bruce lover) but seriously F*^% the mgr who I would imagine a very small weiner. You know he must be bad if i cam home to write about it. I hope hes not there next time...cause ill def go back.
- Pros: insane selection
- Cons: terrible mgrs
AVOID WONDERLAND AT ALL COSTS

The second bad CS experience at wonderland I wa shopping for a vaporizer. The hippie looking rasta wannabe was in the store today and walked me down to show me the vaporizers they had for sale. All THREE vaporizers they had on the shelves were horrifically overpriced. They had the Volcano vaporizer priced at $700.00 when it can be bought elsewhere (and online) for a few hundred dollars less. I also believed they had a Herbalaire 2.0 for something like $300-400.00 when they can be bought new for $250.00.
When I noticed the outrageous prices I asked the employee if he would be able to come down on the price of the volcano or herbalaire. The answer was a definitive NO. I mentioned that I was pretty sure I could get either of these vaporizers online for hundreds less. The rasta wannabe's reply was "You probably can." I asked a few more questions about the vaporizers, to which he did answer correctly and nicely, but I don’t spend $700.00 on nice, so that was the end of my shopping trip and I left the store and bought a vaporizer elsewhere. Who are they trying to fool by overpricing their product so much? Had it been a reasonable price I would have happily walked out with a Volcano vaporizer.
My third and final experience at Wonderland was shopping for a high end ash-catcher/percolator. I had just come back from another shop (only 20 minutes away!) where I was able to buy a 4-arm WeThePeople AC ($175) and take it back the same day to get a refund because it didn't fit.
Wonderland was on the way home, so I figured I'd stop there and see what their ash catcher collection was like. Couldn't hurt right? WRONG.
The ash catcher I was looking for was to be put on a glass on glass bubbler and not a tube like ash catchers are designed for. I so very clearly expressed my concern to the (al)most helpful employee of wonderland that I was worried about the weight and size of the ash catcher, and how it may not quite fit on the piece I was buying the ash catcher for. I showed him pictures of the piece I’d be fitting the ash catcher on and made it clear that I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out when I put the AC on the bubbler. This employee told me if it didn't work out, I could always take it back for a refund. Since I had just come back from a store that gave me a cash refund on a similar glass piece I had returned not but a half hour before stepping into Wonderland, that seemed reasonable. Still, I didn’t want to waste my money, so I double-checked with the employee and explicitly asked "If this piece of glass does not fit right the way I’d like it to on my piece, I can take it back here tomorrow and get my money back?" He answered YES. I again asked if he could work on the price at all to which he replied NO (seeing a trend here?). The ash catcher was $200.00 aaaannnnddd didn't fit; so back to the store I went.
Upon returning to the store with the brand new AC. Still in the same bubbler wrap, same bag, same incense smell that Wonderland is clogged with, and with receipt in hand, but was told by the rasta wannabe that I can not get a cash refund and am they will only offer store credit. The same employee that was in the store when I bought the AC was there, so I called to him from across the store “Hey Buddy, I thought we talked about this last night? You said I can return this, brand new, TODAY and get my money back.” His reply was that he never said anything about a cash refund, and that he told me I’d be able to return for store credit. I remember him saying NO SUCH THING. The owner was in the store as well at this time and had nothing to say about the matter. I left the store that day telling myself it would be my last time in there, and it has.
FINAL WORD: AVOID WONDERLAND AT ALL COSTS
From what I hear Wonderland may soon be going out of business so wait till they have a going out of business sale before stepping foot inside, otherwise – your wasting your money.
- Pros: none
- Cons: TERRIBLE customer service,OVERPRICED,WILL NOT lower prices
Wonderland staff needs to learn to be more customer friendly and knowledgable about their products!

DROVE UP TO THIS SHOP FROM CAPE MAY......Went in lower level and was asked by the guy down there if I needed help.........I told him what I wanted quietly ....he announced it loudly and told me to go upstairs and that the guy up there would give me all the info I needed about the product. the salesman on the 2nd level was very short with me and my questions about the products in question. when asked question about item, he was not very informed and told me info was on back on item about product and while waiting on me he cast me aside to wait on another person as well at the same time when there was another sales person there to assist that person. That salesperson with the dredlocks needs to really be more customer friendly and more informed about the products he sells. It was not busy just myself and another customer in there.
Would I recommend this shop to others---------------HELL NO! Please tell him he needs to learn to be more customer friendly!
- Cons: customer service is poor
