Great place. What a great place. Amazing hot beef sandwish and chicken rice soup. Simple and well done. Great and friendly service too - thanks Jeannie.

Best roast beef sandwich in town!. Another one of my favorites and endearing to my heart. At one time lived in the neighborhood and lived at Cherry Street Tavern. Good memories. This "old school" Philadelphia tavern has the best roast beef sandwich, add a bowl of chili for a bonus! The staff friendly and kind, always welcoming. Be back soon!

GREAT PLACE FOR FOOD,SERVICE,AND FRIENDS. After the saint patricks day parade a group of about 40 of us all ages included headed to the cherry street tavern, we were greeted with smiles from staff and customers alike.the selection of drinks, food and music were great, this place is like an old neighborhood bar where you feel comfortable, yet hip and fun enough to bring a date.the cherry street is very clean the food is excellent, the drinks are cold and the owners treat you like family, why would you go any place else? We won't . Thank you colleen.

Best DogFishHead Ale.. The only thing I love more then Igor is DogFishHead. This place is da bomb. Igor is so cool even when she fights with the little fat guy. I like chicken and Joe Dirt.

Best bar in the city!. We've been going to the Cherry Street for a while and just stopped in after seeing the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute. The place is awesome! We love neighborhood bars and this one is the best in the city. They've got the best local beers on tap... Flying fish, Yards, Dogfish, Stoudts... and tons more. Since we were there last they put in a new tap system and a plasma TV in the back room!

Gorgeous space, pitcher specials, sides of beef: What more do you need in a neighborhood bar?. In Short
Enter through the side door of this wood-paneled haunt for Moore students and museum workers and you're greeted by two huge sides of roast beef. Handwritten signs advertise specials, of both the drink kind and the "take a ski trip with your fellow barflies" kind; they're only outflanked by Eagles and Sixers paraphernalia. As for food, the menu lists standard and inexpensive Philly bar fare: hoagies and nachos, supplemented by pepperoni and cheese with crackers.

Best local bar around. I've been drinking here for awhile and absolutely love this place. Eventhough I'm only 24, I know bars. The microbrews rock and the bartenders are freaking hilarious.

Perfect local hangout. I moved to the area last year - and this is by far my favoriate local hangout. Most people know each other, and the staff seem to actually enjoy their jobs. The roast beef sandwichs are awesome after a few beers!

Loved It!. We were surfing on the net before our trip to Philly and found this place on MSN City Guides. Since we stayed at the Embassy Suites, it was within walking distance of the hotel. I went there with my son for a quick dinner while my sisters were at a concert at the First Union Center. When they returned, I took them there also!
