Nice guitars, knowledgeable staff. I bought a lovely guitar here. The staff has always been helpful when I needed strings or sheet music. It's hard for me to get into center city, otherwise I would visit more often and perhaps take lessons. I'm glad it's here...long may it prosper!
Awful overpriced store, mean owner, unhelpful staff. I entered the shop desperately needing a large amount of a specific type of guitar string, also wanting to have my guitar looked at for an odd buzzing sound. I asked the salesman for help and he said to ask the owner who was in the back. After 15 minutes (FIFTEEN MINUTES!) of ignoring me, the owner finally came out (huffing and puffing like a toddler throwing a tantrum) then gave me grief for the strings I wanted and how far into the case they were, as well as giving me grief for paying for such a purchase with a credit card. If the strings weren't so overpriced, I wouldn't have had to! The reality is there aren't enough good guitar shops around. I didn't even bother to have my guitar looked at and I told the owner after such service I wouldn't dare let someone like him even look at my guitar. Never EVER returning.
Terrible customer service. When I entered after traveling here from out of town, the young salesperson told me I had 20 minutes until closing time. I told him the specific guitar that I wanted to play and he went upstairs to bring it down, then sat down and started playing it himself instead of allowing me to play. These guys treat you like dirt. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
