In Short – This boutique carries hundreds of styles, featuring big names like Dries Van Noten and Patrick Cox. Ladies' footwear takes center stage, running (or strutting) the gamut from handmade cowboy boots and iridescent, royal-blue snakeskin slides to shaped platform slip-ons and "Moulin Rouge" lace-ups, with tons of takes on classic pumps, flats and sling-backs in between.
Amazing shoes, great sales, and wonderfull customer service
by tiamastar
Head Start Shoes has high fashion shoes that keep me up on the trends. Since the shoes are made in Italy, I get comfortable, fashionable shoes that last for a very long time. I have shopped at Head start for over 15 years and their service is great. Now I can even shop online and have my favorite shoes sent to me. With great service, good prices, and a large collection of stylish shoes, this store is the perfect place to shop for your perfect pair of shoes.
- Pros: I can wear comfortable, stylish shoes that no one else has.
- Cons: none
Nice shoes, but not worth it
by birdmuscles
They definitely have a nice selection of shoes, but the return policy is store credit only. It does not state that on the website though because there is a different return policy for online orders which really isnt an online order because you have to call or fax. If you have them shipped, expect to pay $20 or more. If you choose to pick them up, it is no longer an online order and you will get store credit only if not satisfied. Also, the owner is very condescending and rather rude. Do yourself a favor and go to NY for better quality shoes that don't cost as much and you will have a normal return policy.
- Pros: unique selections
- Cons: unprofessional, condescending and rude help

Every shoe I have ever bought from Head Start gets rave reviews from even strangers. Even though I have moved away from the area, Head Start remains my favorite shoe store when I travel back home.
- Pros: Centrally located, good variety, quality shoes
- Cons: a bit expensive, must pay for parking
