We will never order from this place again. We needed a total of 5 pizzas for a meeting being held at 12:30 pm. We called and placed the order around 10:45 am (before they even opened for business - 11:00 am). We wanted them by 12:00 pm but was told they couldn't get them to us until 12:30 pm, we said that's okay. 12:30 came, no pizza. We called and was told they were leaving now. 12:50 came still no pizza, called again, the lady put us on hold to check the order, she came back and said they are leaving now. This was unacceptable and they were told that. Needless to say, the meeting started without the pizza and the pizza finally arrived around 1:15 pm (45 minutes later than was promised). To make matters worse, someone found HAIR (black short) in their slice of pizza. They gave us an extra pizza but that's not enough to make us go back. LOUSY SERVICE.
Good Pizza but the help is scuSTImata.. Very good pizza but don't ask for any service just order and move, if you are willing to put up with it just deal. Sono UN pocco ignoranti.
Great Pizza!!. The pizza here is the best of Center City. I come every week and I love it.
Hot? Yes. But flavor? No.. I am sorry to say, but this pizza was flavorless. I searched for evidence of spices and all i could find were 10 little specks of who knows what on each slice. The sauce also flavorless and they are easy on the cheese. The only thing they have right is the temperature. The unfriendly staff could care less that you're buying their pizza. Sorry Joe, but your pizza's gotta go :(
Joe's Pizza: Lousy Unprofessional Customer Service!. I don't understand why people like this pizza and put up with abuse to get it. The crust doesn't stay crisp for long, they use cheap inferior greasy cheese and the sauce tastes like it has been sitting around for awhile. What's more puzzling is why anyone would put up with the behavior of the employees in this joint. Wake up, Joe!
Joe's Pizza. Let me first say that I am not in any way affiliated in any professional way with this joint, and I am also not one of those sleezball owners writing this in response to the negative reviews. However, the pizza is seminal and delicious. The plain slices are good, with a doughy yet cooked crust which is delicious. The sauce is decent as well. However, I can understand why this pizza does not fit the penchants of others. Don't like a light and airy crust? Don't like slightly greasy cheese? Take the cheese off and have the tomato pie which is a simple triangular slice of bread with some diced tomatoes seasoned and drizzled with olive oil. Delish, Don't just stick with the plain either even if it does appeal to your descriminating and/or husbandry taste buds. They have sicilian, ravioli, and the list goes on and on. The service is well, unprofessional if not down right rude due to the italian red headed man who takes your order. Thinking of his job as a joke, he tends to offer you the wrong slice, and if you are an attractive lady, he will gaze at you much like a womanizer if he doesn't feel like saying "que bella" (which means how pretty in italian) in a creepy way. Whether you will go through obnoxious service for great pizza, its your choice.
Average, but where you gonna go in CC?. I've had Joe's pizza many, many times, and it's good in the sense that all pizza is good. But on a scale of 1 to 10 -- 10 being perfection a-la the former Lombardi's on 18th or the Trenton, NJ tomato pie places like De Lorenzos and 8 being some of the really good thin crust pies from Bertuccis -- this place is a five at best. Doughy, undercooked, too much cheese and sauce resulting in an overly thick, gloppy slice that is similar to the standard pizza chain pies.
Best Pizza In America. Joe's Pizza is one of a kind the constant smell of fresh piping hot pizza rolling out of the oven is marvelous. The Service while it shows a little need for improvement is manageable and doesn't overshadow the marvelous pizza at Joe's.
terrible service, bad pizza. I just ordered two large pies for delivery, and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. After an hour of waiting (even though the place of delivery is two blocks from the store), I called again to see the status of my order. First, they hung up on me. When I called back again, they told me it was on the way without even asking who I was and after telling me to "Relax buddy." When the pizza came, I tried to figure out which was worse: the pizza or the service. The pizza was extremely greasy, undercooked, doughy, the ingredients were not fresh, and the delivery man was rude. I'm not sure why this place gets any business, I will never go there ever again and I tell all my associates and friends not to go near it. I would not be surprised if I came down with some type of illness after eating this pizza.
Want good, basic pizza that's cheap and near the office? Get in line..
By noon, the line to order has spilled out onto the sidewalk and, ironically, past the LA Weight Loss Center. But Joe's office-working patrons don't mind the wait: It gives them time to decide if they want their slice topped with barbecue chicken or with ravioli. They have subs. They have iceberg lettuce-based salads. They have fries. But everyone comes for the slabs of thin-crust pizza, which make a fast meal at about $3 each.
