megan the bartender here was extremely rude and unprofessional. i came here the other day- the place seemed nice, but after having to deal with her i don't think i will be coming back again. come here if you enjoy terrible customer service and ok drinks.

fun cheap bar. this bar is the best. cheap drinks cheap food and a great jutebox selection! sure sometimes you see a rodent or sometimes the waitress is rude, but its still one of the best dive bars in philly! and theres always plenty of room for large crowds! ps watch out for the big kitchen guy....

Great Place to Hang Out - Friendly Staff and Regulars. As a regular patron and having known Michelle and Kelly for some time now, I feel compelled to respond to the previous reviewer who cast aspersions upon them. Both Michelle and Kelly, in my experience, have always been a pleasure to deal with. That said, they won't take any nonsense from patrons who don't know how to behave, which I suspect is the case with the previous reviewer.

sinister manager and waitress at locust rendezvous. egregious manager (michelle) and waitress (kelly)

michelle is a man disguised as a woman disguised as a man suffering from chronic pms. kelly is almost as good. in my 12 years of living in philly i have never come across such a gruesome twosome.

Cool place to chill.. This place is quite mellow, and the drinks are pretty cheap! $6 for a "secks" on the beach.. much cheaper for beer. The food is good, average. The waitresses are friendly. Nice place to come and chill with friends or to just to get a few cheap drinks in before going on to a nightclub. I really enjoy this place.

GREAT PLACE TO PRE-GAME OR SPEND THE EVENING. The guy who said he was charged "9.00" or whatever was a mess when he posted. This is by far one of the cheapest places in center city Philly. Every night they have 2$ brews, 3$ brews, AND a 2$ 3 olive shot....great place, I go there all the time.....friendly staff, great service and quality!!

Rude managers and servers!!!. I went into Locust rendezvous after having dinner in Center City on a Saturday night. It started off to be a good night. It was quiet because it was still early and out waitress was paying adequate attention to us. I was ordering Vodka mixed with an energy drink and probably had about 5 drinks during the course of the night. When we got our bill, I read that I was being charged $9.50 for each drink that I had, $4.00 for the vodka and $5.50 for the energy drink. Normally, buinesses who charge such a high price for this energy drinkgive the customer what is left in the can since only half of the energy drink is going into making the mixed drink. That was not the experience here. I was charged $5.50 for half of a can, and then for my next drink, I was charged $5.50 for the remainder of my can. That is $11.00 for a can of this energy drink. When I nicely asked the server about the charge, She stated that that was their policy and walked over to the bar and picked up a half of a can of the energy drink and handed it to me. At this point, I walked over to the manager and asked him about the charges. He, without taking his eyes off of the television that he was watching, stated that that was their policy. I then walked back over to my party who was getting their money together to pay the bill. The bill was $99.75. Even though our waitress had become extremely rude when I questioned our bill, we still left her a 20% gratutity. When walking out of the bar, I was cornered by 2 managers who asked me why I didn't tip the waitress. They were extremely unprofessional in their mannerisms and tone of voice and would not allow me to speak. I am not only trying to make contact with the general manager regarding this matter, but also notifying the appropriate agencies regarding their inappropriate practices.

Ask a local where to get the best cheesesteaks and wings and then meet them at the Vous!. This Philly pub has been around a long time and I see many more years in its future. The beer is cheap, the happy hour is on time, the cheesesteaks melt in your mouth (the best in the district), service is down-to-earth-- with a smile, and you can even get an omelette past 10: p.m.. Eat, drink, quizzo, cards, Phillie's game, connect four, a peanut fight or two. I did it all at the Vous and I wasn't a second late for the Lion King!

good downtown neighborhood bar. i like this place alot. they have peanuts at the bar, the staff is great and the prices are right. besides that, the rendezvous allways has a good mix of people not just all the cool kids that like to hang downtown.

A great Hangout. This place had it all.

Good location.

Plenty of selections (similar to a diner menu)

and beer and peel & eat shrimp.

Well they got rid of the shrimp!

That was a stupid thing to do. (i never say lets go there now)

But its a nice local restaurant.

(but now its without shrimp)
