Little Saigon Is a Little Slice Of Heaven.
I had good stuff about this place, despite being in the wasteland of 69th street area, but this was more than I could believe. The couple who runs the place for 17 years, are so kind and friendly, and the food - out of this world! The ginger salad was the perfect begining to the best wonton soup I've EVER had! The chicken and lemongrass was almost.
I wanted to eat before the Pixies show, but would now come out of the city just to eat here!
Excellent food. This is the best of the small, "homestyle" Vietnamese restaurants I've visited. The food is always cooked perfectly, nothing fancy, nothing showy; It's just good food. Everything is fresh and delicious. I personally love the beef dishes served over fresh carrots and sprouts, and the pho is also amazing. I've never had a meal I didn't like here. And it's really affordable
best spring rolls(fried), best wanton soup, vietnamese crepes..
We have been going there for many years. The food is fresh and flavorful.
Try the fried spring rolls, the shrimp and pork roll, the roast pork wanton noodle soup(NO 36), the crepe, the deluxe fried rice or the bird's nest(noodles with vegetables, squid, shrimp) in a sweet brown sauce that softens the noodles. Edward and Nancy are hospitable, Helen will serve you with a smile always.
Vegetarians will have a feast here as well.
Bring a bottle of wine or beer and enjoy.
A wonderful family restaurant.
