Warm, Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff. There must have been some kind of misunderstanding with the previous reviewer. I have had nothing but excellent service from the women who work at the Bryn Mawr Knit Wit-- even coming from the gym, sweaty and not put-together. They greet everyone with a smile, ask if you need help, but let you browse solo if you prefer to do so. Most recently, I was looking for jeans and I was honest about my limited budget, so they happily directed me to a lower-priced brand ...and spent time with me while I couldn't make up my mind about which pair to get (because I couldn't afford both).

In a nutshell, this place is great. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because some of the items are way out of my price range.

Terrible customer service. One rainy day, my friend and I had the misfortune of going into this store in sweats. This had not been a problem at any of the other high-end boutiques nearby. However, the moment we enter the store, we were greeted with a head-to-toe once-over, and a snotty, "The jeans and t-shirts are in the back of the store." While this statement would have been acceptable had that part of the store been difficult to find, or having a sale, or coming helpfully from a staff member, this was clearly a condescending judgment on our dress. While their clothes seemed decent enough, I would never, ever buy from any store that rude to potential customers.
