Birthplace @ Riddle is great
by melissa_100607
The nursing staff at the Birthplace @ Riddle are great, they were helpful and very attentive during my stay to have my daughter. I was induced and was in labor for over 12 hours and the nurses made it much easier to handle a difficult delivery. I would recommend to anyone who is expecting and looking for a good hospital to consider Riddle. The only con and I think this is more related to health insurance is after you have your baby you are only there for 1 day or so. I have the baby Friday evening and was home Sunday morning, it seemed very fast.
- Pros: Great L&D nurses and maternity nurses
- Cons: they kick you out pretty quick
Worst Experience of my LIFE
by RomanticJewelers
I was admitted for a hysterectomy. I was given a a type of morphine during anesthesia that I was allergic to which sent my body into havoc. I was writhed in pain. When I would ring for the nurse, they would send a technician, who could do nothing for my pain but say she would tell the nurse. It would take ringing the bell 4 times before a nurse would come. In the 3 nights I spent in this hell I was never bathed or taken out of the bed by a nurse. I slept in bloodied sheets and night gown for 3 nights. On the 4th day when my IV was finally removed a nurse threw a wash cloth and towel at me and left me alone to walk to the bathroom after abdominal hysterectomy and pelvic floor repair. I cried the days away in pain feeling totally helpless. I was in so much pain I couldn't even watch TV. I lay holding my mattress with both hands in torrential pain till a nurse finally would come and give me my pain medication. I could go on but the jest of the fact is I wouldn't take a DEAD DOG to this hospital
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: AWFUL NURSING CARE IN A HOSPITAL
Run away from the er at Riddle
by anncon
This ER is the worst you have ever seen. Nurses talking while your in pain. Patients screaming for help. Waiting for hours and hours in the emergency department when there was only 3 patients in it. They should try treating people like human beings. Your supposed to be fast tracked. yeah because you get so tired of waiting you walk out the door. Told us we can't help you. The place should be shut down. Maybe the new president will take a family member to the er and see what it is like. Should like people keep coming to their er over and over again for the same problems only to be told we can't help. Sorry. Do not go to this er. Protect your family members from this place.
- Pros: None
- Cons: No one cares. Nurses eating talking on their phones.
