Worst Service Ever. Slowest service we''ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Waited for 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Then 30 minutes later, asked the waitress when our order would be ready. 10 minutes later, we just got up and left. Fortunate for us, none of the waitresses were around or paying attention so we were not stopped. Maybe now that it's been 15 hours later, perhaps our order is finally ready!!!

Going Downhill. My husband and I have been to Riddle Ale House a handful of times in the last year and each time is worse than the last. After our last experience, we will not be going back.

The restaurant was recently remodeled and, for awhile anyway, looked very classy and clean and elegant. When we went in the spring and summer of 2008 both the decor/atmosphere and the food was very good and above average for this type of establishment. We went back in the fall and the interior was starting to look dirty and shabby and the food was clearly not as good. We just went back for a final attempt this past weekend and it was horrible. The surfaces were greasy and dirty, the temperature in the "porch" area was so cold that many people left their coats on during their meals, the TV in the "porch" area was hung so low my husband could barely make it out of his seat without hitting his head, the staff seemed clueless, was slow, and would offer no substitutions on side items except cole slaw, it took almost a half hour to get a hamburger when the place was very sparsely filled and when the food finally did come it was mediocre at best. To top it off, the couple at the table next to us found a disgusting clump of grease in their salad.

I used to appreciate this place for its outdoor dining and decent quality, reasonably priced food, but after a couple mediocre visits and this horrible one, Im not wasting my time or money here again.
