I love this place!. Best burgers in Delaware county!
Charlie's Hamburgers - pretty darn good. Whoever wrote about the burned stale food at Charlies had it mixed up. Always fresh, always perfectly cooked. And just hamburgers and I think hotdogs. No fries, no onion rings. Try a burger and get a milkshake with it. Heaven. About as good as Charlies - maybe even better, is Zac's (4 or 5 locations now). Had a Zac's (in Folsom) this week and, maybe 'cause I was hungry, was one of the best burgers ever. Zac's also have fries and onion rings and milkshakes. Ummmmm. OK, Charlies is great - but Zac's is Nicer and cleaner than Charlies, and the people are more personable and friendlier. There ya go.…
Worst Meal I Have Ever Had!. I went to Charlie's for the first time today and the last time. The burger was burned. I asked for onion rings instead of frenchfries but the order came up with burned frenchfries. The girl was sweet but inexperienced. She took the basket back and at least ten minutes later had the onion rings ready. She handed me a basket of onion rings. When I told her I hadn't gotten my hamburger, she looked around for my original basket and handed it to me with the cold soggy fries still in the basket. Needless to say the hamburger was also cooled off and as I said, burned. When this young lady called out a retrieval number she would also say "cheeseburger with cheddar" for instance. Several people would go up to the counter only having heard the description and she would let them take the order without finding out what number they had. This obviously left someone else without their order. The guy making the burgers was getting on her case but no one was helping her to get it right. I should have asked for my money back and left but I was so hungry by the time the food came that I went ahead and ate it. Dumb move! It sat like a lead balloon in my stomach all day.…
Charlie's Hamburgers - Best burgers ever!.
I have been going to Charlies since before the first restaurant burned down at Baltimore Pike. I was just a toddler then. Been coming back ever since.
The burgers are kinda thin but there's just something about the combination of seasoning and fresh beef and the way they slightly toast the buns. The cheese just melts on the burger. I'm actually going there today for lunch. Can't wait!
Their prices do keep me from coming back more often, and because it's a little far from where I live now, but it's a good treat every once in a while.
White Castle couldn't hold a flame to this place. I once read someone talk trash about how they use the empty bun plastic bags for take out orders. I thought that was a great way to recycle and cut down on costs.
Final thoughts - Amazing burgers, stellar shakes - bit pricey.....worth it once in a while.…
Best Burgers. I've been going to Charlie's for approx 40 plus yrs and I've sat with 5 generations on the stools provided. My family has been going to Charlies since it was founded. We've taken countless friends and family over the yrs and I feel the burgers are the best I've ever eaten. I don't get there often, but when I do, I eat as many as possible with a Blk & Wht shake. They're the BEST!…
